TOPIC FOR DISCUSSION:
how can we attract more people to be part of this vision?
concerns:
-waiting for a 3RG account to be approved is one
-looking not so great on arrival is another
- not understanding that you can't 'search' here
- the UFS entrance exam (esp for civilians)
- people don't want to do Academy
good side:
-we have great people
- a wonderful build
-creative atmosphere
-a history of roleplay and storytelling
-a feeling of neighbourhood, not being lost in the crowds of SL
-relatively low lag
-very cheap land
-good building environment
-very few trolls
- a great philosophy
-help to set-up better avatar readily available
suggestions:
- explain why the 3RG website development has hit a snag
- speak at community meeting about changing grid landing point to be in the avatar help building
- provide a staff board in case people need help
- see if greeters can be alerted when someone lands there
-remind ppl the UFS membership exam is all that is required to be a member
comment:
- how can you say you want to explore strange new worlds, but expect everything to be the same (as SL)?
