The past three months have been busy to say the least. As the Commanding Officer of Headquarters it's been my duty to ensure the safety and smooth running of the Colony. Add on top of that my duties as the Deputy Commander, UF Starfleet and thinks get really hectic.

=^= Colony Report =^=

The Colony itself has started expanding. Since the move to the new location we have kept the structures less imposing on the local flora and fauna, previous locations have seen us flatten the area and ultimatly destry certain parts of the planet and that is not a good look. This move we took the time and care to ensure we where protecting the planet itself, we are extended guests here and have to ensure that we look after what came before and protect it for what come after.

With most areas now constructed in this more kinder manner, the area is so beautiful, the reports coming in on the weather, the native and introduced wildlife is thriving and the colony feels like a place Starfleet would operate rather than a military training camp, that is not what we are about.

I am trying to focus more on the daily life of my officers, to ensure they have everything they need to perform thier duties, but also to be inviting for visitors, traders, diplomats visiting the colony, so far we have not failed in this task.

=^= Deputy Commander Report =^=

Things have been hard going as the Deputy Commander, however if something is worth doing, it's worth taking the time, energy and determination to make sure it is done correctly.

I've recently had the pleasure of overseeing and visiting some new Starships being built.

With the above full reports on the ships, things are looking strong for the fleet.

We have also recently spoke to the members to get thier information, even with a fleet and peopel following command orders there still needs to have the personal touch, even here in the Delta Quadrant. While there are ways to get back to the Alpha Quadrant for emergencies, I am reluctant to continue going back and forth between Sol and Pinastri, we are our own entity out here, and fly our own flag under the UFP.

Continuing with the duties of my office I hope that midesets can be cahnged, that the future of our Fleet can continue to grow, that we can continue to explore these still unknown waters, and follow the ideals of those that came before.

Exploration, Diplomacy and most of all respect for all around us.

Boldy we will go forward.

I had the pleasure and privilidge of accompanying the USS Maxwell crew on an expedition into some of the Caves of Pinastri, It toook me a while to catch up to them and I arrived as most of them where sleeping. I don't know how they could sleep in a cave like that.

Upon the journey recommensing I took a back seat and mainly observed the crew interacting, it's nice to not have to do the heavy lifting. The crew seems to be a well functioning unit and all have demonstrated truly how to perform as Starfleet Officers.

As we began more exploartion of the caves a Door seemed to appear, possibly due to some tectonic activity causing it to appear.

Going through we appeared in an opening, lots of crystals, rock formations and some colums with apprant writings on from the Rajans.

Not much was recorded by myself at that time i was mostly in awe of the area and how deep under water we where yet still breathing.

We traversed and scouted the tunnels a lot, descended deeper in. One of the things I had noted was a sort of air flow system by a ssytem of pipes and cogs. Was quite intriguing.

As a lst place to appear was a sort of Map room, however all the details on this will surly be in the Crews reports.

As we returned to Headquarters, I have instructed Captain Northman to meet me in spacedock as there is an assingment I am going to present him with. All information and data gathered will be transfered securly to *redacted* for further study.

It always astounds me that Pinastri IV has been our home for many years, but we are still finding out new tings, thats the beauty of Starfleet.

I have returned from my short beak to the fighting pits. The pits seem to be a good way for agression to be taken out amongst species while offering sporting entertainment.

There where a few shocks as the match cars seemed to be well balanced and some surpirse guests, but overall it was a great show.

I'm back in the office now and back to the grinder ensuring the fleet is running as smoothly as possible.

I've been informed by the Engineers that a new area is to be constructed and have signed all the blueprints to ensure maximum coverage for it.

I've got a few meetings this week with some of the Joint Chiefs to check thier areas but overall the fleet seems to be running as best it can.

My main concern at the moment is burnouts and assingments not being fulfilled by those ... wel assinged to the tasks so that will need to be addressed,

This week has been a busy one.

The Chief Engineer informs me that the calibrations to the Geothermal Power Plant have been completed and we should be running at optimum capcity. If i'm honest half the things he said to me kind of went over my head. But that's why I have a chief, to do the things that I cannot.

Construction is almost complete on the new Command Analysis Mapping Platform at Pinastri HQ. This should give us real time information on Ship deployments, areas discovered and any threats that may come our way. This has been a joint effort with myself and the Intelligence Branch and hopefully one that will see us be prepared.

There are more things that are going on around just like *REDACTED*

I've recieved information from the intelligence department and raised the alert level of Pinastri headquarters to Yellow .

- All Security personnel will report to their duty station
- Additional security personnel will be stationed in Engineering.
- All Security, Marine and Intel personnel are issued Phaser II sidearms, Phasers are to be locked to Stun cycle
- All highly secure areas will require Voice Verification and Codes to access
- All armoury lockers will be secured and locked
- There will be 3 person teams patrolling areas
- All Medical personnel will report to sickbay and make preparations for any and all instances as required
- Marines and Intel will join Security with patrols
- All Cadets are to report to the Academy for assignment

Durig arrival on duty today a mysterious box has appeared on my office desk. Now this may just be some form of Earth tradition or it could be something else, either way i've asked Security and Intelligence to investigate.

Commanding Officer's Log, it's an unusual time, i cannot access any system currently due to a breach of security and my clearance being temporarily suspended, which is odd in itself, usually the protocol would be to scramble and change my clearance code however due to the current situation and discussions with Intelligence we deemed this a continued risk if the system that logs codes has been infiltrated.

I am of the utmost confidence that the intelligence and security departments can get this resolved quickly as some of my abilities to coordinate are too restricted. I have read some of the more open logs from around the fleet and while the more confidential logs are inaccessible at the moment it does raise concerns.

I shall have to rely on command meetings and such to keep up to date on the current standing of the fleet and I am recieving daily reports from my own departments.

The crew have been outstanding and while my limited access to certain areas has affected key areas my XO and the rest of teh crew are picking up the slack.

Computer End log, send to intelligence for review and have them encrypt and save.
