Chapter One Recap:

On route to the town of Drellin's Ferry, we have been ambushed by Orcs. Although they had us surrounded, we were able to hold our own against them and eventually caused them to run off (the ones we didn't kill). Hopefully there are no more surprises on the road to town.

Chapter Two: Under Siege

The town is separated by a river with a ferry (small boat connected by a robe that extends across the river) that allows people to move from one side to the next. The eastern part of town has been occupied by an enemy force. The west side has been fending off raids, but they are concerned they are ill-equipped and staffed to fend off a full invasion. They are in need of heroes.

Mission Name: Alpha-Shift - Holodeck Hijinks Part 2

Today the Alpha shift is on, we gathered at Ops in our costumes.
Now we are all dressed and get our stories straight (making sure everything will work and such), we went to the Holodeck. And we begin our holodeck adventure in a resetted and new town, as we stand before the gates we need to find Captain Anitha, of the Town guard.
A Guard Hold there us at the gate and asked to State our business and asked if we where ambushed as well. but luckily No blood was spilled in our party and we where asked by Captain Anitha to help her free the besieged town.

The Guard let us in the town, we entered the town. Rich/Belkoros thought it was a good idea to go to the nearest tavern to begin our search.
We Entered the tavern, and asked the barkeep, she said the Captain was here a while ago, and went on patrol or something.
As we talk a bit furder with the Barkeep, and Rich/Belkoros ordered a round of drinks for us. we all digged in to the drinks.
Captain Anitha soon came in, she is a Strong Barbaric woman, with a giant Battle-Axe, i could see she is a respectful woman.

Now the Captain is here and give us the situation: The situation is grim. Drellin's Ferry occupies two side of a river. The old bridge has long collapsed.... you can see the pots that once held it still in the water. There is a ferry that is normally used... its simply a boat who's driver pulls the craft along a thick rope. The river current is so strong that most would drown if they attempted to swim. This is probably what has halted the advance of the invaders.
There seems to be a company of orc along with other mercenaries.... we've seen skeletons so they must have a necromancer among them but the real concern is that there are Dremora among them. It might be a conjurer or there could be an Oblivion gate open some where on the far side.
If they are ambushing you here they have a way across not known by us. That nerve wrecking as if they decide to attack us from both ends we wont have enough people to defend the town.
They have catapults they attack us with every night. Two nights ago some kind of winged creatures attacked too. WE fought them off but lost 7 men in the process. They do something every night... probably to deprive us of sleep. It's taking its toll on all the guard.
Last night we sent three spies over there. They were supposed to be back before first light... we've not heard anything and presume the worst. Things we need are 1. to destroy or disable those catapults 2. learn if our people are alive and rescue them 3. find out how they are crossing to this side 4. find out who leads them and most importantly if there is an oblivion gate opened.
Dremora are vile creatures. Humanoid Draedra that serve the Deadric princes. The flying creatures were something out of our worst night mares.... one person called them Winged Twilight. They were the body of a woman but his sharp claws on its feet and its arms had large wings.

Belkoros (Rich) I'm thought we could spend the rest of the daylight resting and healing then take up positions at night to patrol and be ready for whatever they have planned. We'll figure out our own way across to see what we can do.
For Healing we could seek out Brother Derny. Since the Church has become a makeshift hospital we can heal our-selfs there and maybe we can assist there.
There is also if we need to have anything special when it comes ot weapons..... iron and steel based weapons.... the ballistae were good against them...when we could actually hit them. Sertieren the Wise runs the magic shop and our only wizard.

Belkoros (rich) says: however we know they are on this side or at least smaller raiding parties but they could attack from the woods or climb over the fence.... something on that scale would be to strike at a something like kill someone important or destroy something of value.
The buildings along the water are in ruins so we could hold out there... i dont see them attacking building they already destroyed.
The winged creatures did... the raiders smut have ... maybe there is a part of the river that is shallow or they build a bridge.
We don't know how many are over there and sending a smaller group already failed them. and thinks if we cross over we should do it together.

Our objectives where clear:
1. destroy the catapults.
2. rescue the people
3. find out how they are getting here.
4. find their leader
and end the battle/war.

Now the nightfall is here we gather at the bridge to make our stand.
Along the river, several sorcerers use their magics to create thick Ice bridge that extend all the way over to the west bank. Once connected several skeletal warrior and orcs start marching across. As they cross, the catapults start raining down on the city. Groups of guardsman prepare to receive the assault but the Companions gather at the central ice bridge.

We might need to use Destruction magic or arrows, but that we need to continue next week.
