Attention Crew:

We've had some rough missions over the last few months, and I think it is time we do something enjoyable. I was perusing earth's history and there was a game that groups of friends used to get together to enjoy around the table...... Dungeons and dra...... no that's not it. Oh, Goblins and Grottoes, that's it. There was a fantasy world and the players would take on the roles of heroes while one friend was the Game Master who would guide them on their journey. Of course, we now have holodecks that can take this simplistic dynamic and make it interacting. They had a term for people who would physically act out their adventures called Live action role-play or LARPing. I'm sure the players would be jealous of the capabilities of our holodeck. I have programmed something for all of to enjoy as a group.

Today we'll program our characters into the computer and perhaps start our first chapter.

Come join us and have fun.

2) Have a major twist you'd like to implement? Message the Mission Creator (person who wrote the briefing).

Confused about the mission? In this section, you'll find background supplemental information about our mission, the area of space we're in, supporting ships, and so on that you can use to help build atmosphere and add detail when participating or to your logging, if you like!

We are going to borrow some things from Dungeons and Dragons and some things from the Elder Scrolls series, but we keep it much more simplified. So if you have never played either series, don't worry about it. The focus will be the adventure instead of the mechanics of sword fighting. While there is a fantasy unity meter, we won't need it. I will provide a simple dice roller. Most of our opponents will be static NPCs.

Character Creation:
There are two important choices here, picking your race and your class.

RACE (taken from Elder Scrolls Lore):
*Altmer (High Elves) - Known as "Altmer" in their homeland of Summerset Isle, the High Elves are the most gifted in the arcane arts of all the races. They can call upon their Highborn power to regenerate Magicka quickly. They are tall, slim with golden skin.

*Argonian (Reptilian) - Enigmatic and intelligent, the Argonians are experts at guerrilla warfare, and their natural abilities suit their swampy homeland, Black Marsh. They have developed immunities to the diseases that have doomed many would-be explorers in the region, and they are capable of easily exploring underwater locations due to their ability to breathe underwater. Argonians make proficient thieves, due to their increased lockpicking and sneaking skills. They look like bipedal lizards.

*Bosmer (Wood Elf) - Bosmer (or, more commonly, Wood Elves) are the elven people of Valenwood. They prefer a simple existence, living in harmony with the land and wild animals. They are known to be the best archers in all of Tamriel and are known for their ability to command wild creatures. They make great scouts or thieves, due to their natural stealth and light footing. They have tan or coppery skin, pointed ears and are shorter than other races.

*Breton (shorter human) - Bretons are a race of both human and elven ancestry.[1] They populate the province of High Rock. They are excellent mages[2] with high magic resistance, but have few other distinctive features. They are considered an intelligent race in Tamriel, known for a proficiency in abstract thinking,[source?] a possible reason for their adeptness in the magical arts. It is suggested that they may also carry Aldmer blood, which would further account for their magical prowess.

*Dunmer (Dark Elves) - The Dunmer, more commonly known as Dark Elves, are the grey-skinned elven natives of the province of Morrowind. After the eruption of Red Mountain, many Dunmer fled to Skyrim, where they have endured extreme prejudice as a result of their elven heritage and status as refugees. In spite of this, many Dunmer have been able to establish themselves in Tamriel's northernmost province as skillful merchants and mages.

*Imperial (Human) - Imperials are some of the most well-educated, wealthy and well-spoken of the races in Tamriel and the natives of the cosmopolitan province of Cyrodiil. Imperials are also known for their discipline and training of their citizen armies. Because of this, the Imperials have dominated Tamriel for more than 2,000 years.

*Khajitt (feline) - Khajiit are one of the beast races which inhabit the continent of Tamriel, primarily their home province of Elsweyr. The Khajiit have feline appearance and sly accent common to Cathay, however their type is not specified. Along with the Argonians, they are referred to as the beast-races of Skyrim. Because of this, Khajiit have a negative public image. They are the rarest race encountered in Skyrim, most commonly found only in caravans.

*Nord (tall human) - Nords are a race that were led to Skyrim by Ysgramor. They are tall, fair-haired and pale-skinned humans from Atmora who are known for their incredible resistance to cold and even magical frost. They are enthusiastic warriors, and act as soldiers, mercenaries, merchants and blacksmiths all over Tamriel.

*Orsimer (Orc) - The Orsimer (more commonly known as Orcs), are the native people of the Wrothgarian and Dragontail Mountains. They are possibly a variant of elves or mer. Other sources state they are beastfolk. Following in the footsteps of Trinimac, and subsequently Malacath, Orcs have consistently held a standard as a race as some of Tamriel's greatest warriors and smiths.

*Redguard (human) - Redguards hail from the great desert province of Hammerfell. They are descended from a long line of warriors and mystic seers. Legend has it that Redguards are innately more proficient with the use of weaponry than any other race. They excel in all arts concerning blade and shield. The most naturally talented warriors in Tamriel, the dark-skinned Redguards of Hammerfell seem born to battle.

Rather than getting caught up in specifics, all classes will fall into one of three specializations. Some classes tap into two or more specializations. These classes provide you more with background on the type of profession of your character. Classes are taken from Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind so if you disagree with why a class has a particular specialization don't blame me.

CORE Specializations:

Combat Specializations

Magic Specializations

Stealth Specializations

=/\= MISSION LOG =/\=

Today we gather at Tranquilliy's Ops Center, but this time we have no serious mission. We have a fun activity, we will go to the Holo-deck for a Goblins and Grottoes (sort of D&D)game. we will Role-playing our way trough the story.

But before we go to the Holo-deck we have ... a sort of briefing at OPS. we get instructions how the game works and what we are going to do. als we needed to beside what race and class we wanted to play:
Rich is a Bosmer Warrior (a kind of Wood-Elf)
Romy is a Altmer Mage (High-Elf)
Victoria is Dunmer Assassin (Dark-Elf)
Oola: Dunmer Healer (Again a Dark-Elf)
Narek: Scout (not sure what race he is)
Ellemir: Imperial battlemage (Human)
Kestral: Nord Monk (a tall Human- like)
Erika: Redguard Spy (darker skinned Human)
Ferre: Imperial Spellsword (Again Human)

The story goes as follows:
The Oblivion Crisis aka the Great Anguish was a period of major turmoil and armed conflict, fought between the Tamrielic Empire and the Planes of Oblivion. The Oblivion Crisis is noted as being a significant event in Tamrielic history, as it marks the final days of the Third Era and the end of the Septim Dynasty.
This is occurring at the time of this adventure in the province of Cyrodil. Rumors of a massive attack by the Daedric Force of Destruction sacked and destroyed much of Kvatch. An unnamed hero managed to rally the city guard and lead them to repel the Daedric forces but much of the city was in ruin and most of the populace were killed.
You are part of the Companions Guild (mercenary company of combatants, not comfort guys/ gals). The Companions are similar to the Fighter’s Guild in other regions of Tamrial. Several gates of Oblivion have reportedly opened throughout Skyrim. You have been dispatched with a scouting party to investigate one such portal in the west of the Whiterun Hold.

After a long introduction is was finally time to go to the Holo-deck, we all where already in costumes and so called weapons.
I do have to say, the Admiral build the Goblins and Grottoes world very nicely.

And thus we began our story.
The afternoon sun beats down on you; the air is hot and still.
The sparsely settled lands of Elsir Vale are starting to grow
monotonous, with a seemingly endless line of dusty fl yspecks of
towns. The town of Drellin’s Ferry lies a few miles ahead of you.
It’s a settlement hard on the borders of the Witchwood, and the
best place from which to begin exploring the nearby forest.

As we walked down the road though the forest to the nearest village, we encountered 4 orc's. 2 on each side of the road.
As we fight them of some of us got hit by arrows including me, i took a shot in my arm. In my next turn i need to heal not only me but my team-mates too.

As we dint had many time, we will continue next week. Cant wait what will happen next.
