Science News...... Damn its been a while.

While the fields of science are very specific, non-specialized science officers serve to assist the specialists in their tests and analysis. All Science Officers are dedicated to Seeking out new and researching old phenomenons, species and planets.

Disclaimer:I am an Amateur when it comes to Science. I post these to peak people's interest. I try to find credible sources as best I can. I share these because it peaks my Interest and I hope it stirs yours too. I am not in Real Life a Scientist nor do I think what I find is everything. I just try to share enough so if interested you, yourself can find out more.

Here is some Cool Science News I saw around the Web. I hope to do this from time to time. It is one of the ways I like to share with everyone. I format it by putting in a bit of the Article then a link to the source so you can read more. Some are recent some are earlier in the year or before. So here is the news:

The only known pulsar duo sheds new light on general relativity and more
The only known duo of pulsars has just revealed a one-of-a-kind heap of cosmic insights.

For over 16 years, scientists have been observing the pair of pulsars, neutron stars that appear to pulsate. The measurements confirm Einstein’s theory of gravity, general relativity, to new levels of precision, and hint at subtle effects of the theory, physicists report in a paper published December 13 in Physical Review X.

Ingenuity is still flying on Mars. Here’s what the helicopter is up to
The Ingenuity Mars helicopter was never supposed to last this long. NASA engineers built and tested the first self-powered aircraft to fly on another planet to answer a simple question: Could the helicopter fly at all? The goal was to take five flights in 30 Martian days or break the aircraft trying.

2021 research reinforced that mating across groups drove human evolution
A long-standing argument that Homo sapiens originated in East Africa before moving elsewhere and replacing Eurasian Homo species such as Neandertals has come under increasing fire over the last decade. Research this year supported an alternative scenario in which H. sapiens evolved across vast geographic expanses, first within Africa and later outside it.

World's Lightest Solid!
Aerogels are the world's lightest (least dense) solids. They are also excellent thermal insulators and have been used in numerous Mars missions and the Stardust comet particle-return mission. The focus of this video is silica aerogels, though graphene aerogels are now technically the lightest.

So that is some of the Science I saw this week and found interesting. Feel Free to add to this and Comment if you like and this isn't just a thing for me to do. Anybody can make a post like this, I like them to because I don't always see every article that is out there and it is great to learn new things.
