That said, keep in mind several of these fires have been started by arsonists.

Yep, that is true in both Australia and the US. There nuances to every situation, and we can’t ignore all the factors that increase risk of forest fires, like old and decaying electrical grid and a lack of clearing brush and forest management due to state regulations.
