USS Maxwell's passage to the Hapke Cluster proceeds apace. We are nearing the Cluster, and are on schedule. It's long days at high warp. Barring any unforeseen issues, it will be another quiet shift.

Location: Deep Space, enroute to the Hapke Cluster
Alert Status: green

While at warp in our passage to the Hapke Cluster, a mistake in Engineering resulted in the injection of a toxin into the ship's atmosphere. This toxin induced different effects in various crew. For most, the effects started with a pleasant or even beloved smell, but quickly progressed to a feeling akin to a high, accompanied with hallucinations. With inhibitions loosened, and in some cases under the influence of a hallucination, the crew exhibited odd behavior. This proceeded until the officer whose mistake was the cause of the initial release then corrected his mistake, and scrubbed the toxins from the ship's atmosphere.

As the toxins ebbed from the atmosphere, the effects wore off, but were replaced with feelings akin to a 'hangover.' Personnel were dehydrated and suffered from those and other symptoms. Hyposprays administered by the ship's Doctors addressed most of those effects, but everyone will be recovering for a day or so.
