USS Goddard has returned to Pinastri Sector after their recover of Sinde from the planet with the prehistoric animals. repairs are complete and the crew is prepping for another patrol when the Xo's person Padd beeps. the Menlo Prim Probes have detected a ship in orbit. She briefs the crew and preps the ship to depart and investigate.

Location: Menlo Prim - and En route to Nekrit Expance
USS Goddard Entered Menlo Prim orbit to discover the a B'rel Class Klingon Bird of Pray in Orbit. The ship hailed us and announced htem selves as the Nekrit Cartel and threatened the ship with attack if we did not withdraw. Dr Draco detected several Menlo prim Citizens aboard the ship and we informed the captain of the bird of pray that we would not allow them to leave the system with them. The brid of prey attacked us and we defended our selves. 2nd Lt Moss at tactical managed several attack maneuvers and she knocked the enemy ship down to 45% shields they cloaked and fled the system. Ens Apple was able to beam 2 of the Menlo citizens out while they cloaked. Ens apple and 2nd Lt Moss tracked the bird of prey to the Nekrit expanse at which point we sent a probe to monitor their activity. They are docked at a small Station and I contacted Command and we await further orders.
Conclusion:
The Nekrit Cartel is operating out of a small station in along Nekrit expanse boarder. At the very least they re involved in kid napping people from a pre-warp world. I should contact Kinney Randt and let him know with is going on with the world he and his crew are so fond of.
