Captain's log, Stardate 111113

Well thanks to the diplomatic wranglings of lt Commander Coswell i am now the proud owner of one Oclar vessel and a Supreme enforcer of the Oclar, I swear that women is a born diplomat and talks faster than a ferengi on market day. Not that im really complaining ofcourse her negotiation and application of Oclar law prevented me from having to take deadly force with the Oclar boarding my ship, though i will say we acquited ourselves alot better than our first encounter with Oclar strike teams and if they turn on us they will think twice before trying to board again.

As for our missing officer, we have a lead on him, it seems they took him to a nearby facility, which he promptly escaped from and was being persued, from the reports we have Lt Zapatero's shuttle was shot down and crashed into a planet, though he managed to damage the small vessels that where persuing him enough that they have had to call in extra ships and troops to conduct a search for him.

Which means this is now a good old fashioned race to see who gets there first.

Location: Pinastri Sector, 20,000 years into the future
Mission: On His Last Legs

Log entry:

Ops was present on both away teams sent down to find Lieutenant Alex Zapatero. In the aftermath, our department came up with a plan to confuse the attacking Oclar vessels by broadcasting interference - in the form of loud music - over their comms channels.

Individual reports:

To: Captain Mulgrave Dwi, CO, USS Sheppard
From: Lt. Commander April Coswell, Chief of Operations

When we got within sensor range of the planet on which Lt. Zapatero had reportedly taken refuge, Lt. Lombardia undertook a comms scan and found a significant amount of chatter - consistent with Science and Tactical's detection of five Oclar ships in orbit. At my request, he tapped into the vessels' transmissions. We found that they were conducting a grid-by-grid search of the planet. When the ships detected the Sheppard and challenged us, Captain Dwi posed as Enforcer Mar, offering our help in the search. She then asked Commander Hamelin to organize two away teams.

I was assigned as leader of Team Bravo, comprised of Lt. Commander Marabana, as well as Lieutenants Ohtobide and Coronet. Once on the surface, we found some rather thick foliage, along with a crashed shuttle - which had our lost officer's DNA all over it. As we had also found two sets of tracks, Team Alpha under Commander Hamelin followed the ones that led across the river, while Bravo took the ones disappearing in the foliage.

These tracks led us to a structure not unsimilar to the pyramids built by Earth's ancient Aztecs, with outside stairs leading to the top. Once there, some hidden mechanism we must have tripped retracted the floor, causing Commander Marabana to fall through. He was unharmed, however, and we followed him down using a ladder. Down in the pyramid, we found Lt. Zapatero keeping an Oclar at bay. Once we had subdued the Oclar, I asked Lt. Ohtobide to care for our officer, but as he was quite delusional, we had to sedate him to carry him out of the structure.

Outside the pyramid, Team Alpha, which had attempted to rendez-vous with us, had come under heavy fire. We went to help them fend off the attackers, while attempting -unsuccessfully - to raise the Sheppard. The Oclar, it seems, were running some sort of interference. Lt. Lombardia and I were just starting to discuss whether the source of the interference was planet-bound when the Sheppard answered that question for us, firing shots at a target not too far from us, apparently pounding the source into oblivion.

Once we had re-established contact with the Sheppard, we were told that the ship had come under fire from the Oclar and ordered to prepare for emergency beamout.

Once back on the ship, I made it back to the bridge quickly. As our Chenae friends were still 10 minutes out, we had to come up with a plan to buy ourselves some time. My contribution was to use our link to the Oclar ships' comms to broadcast rather loud music to them, effectively reducing their ability to communicate with each other to almost nil.

Shortly after this, the Chenae vessel Shroud of Keldar arrived and asked us to line up with their underside and turn off our engines. They generated some type of anomaly, took us into it, and we emerged some 50 light-years away from Oclar space.

Operations log, Stardate 111113

I was assigned the Ops station along with Commander Coswell. The Sheppard was enroute to a planet where Lt. Zapatero was supposedly hiding. Lt. Zapaero had escaped his captures and possibly crash landed. There were five separate Oclar ships searching the planets surface. The Sheppard was not alone as we had our own Oclar escort with us. I was able to listen in on the Oclar search to assist in narrowing down our search. It was imperative we located Lt. Zapatero before they did. With the search grid narrowed Science found a downed shuttle. The Sheppard was discovered but Commander Coswell was able to patch it through the Oclar vessel and is holographic imaging to disguise Captain Dwi as the Supreme Enforcer. The Captain stated we were here to assisst in the search.

Commander Hamelin assembled two away teams. I was in her team. We beamed down to the planet's surface. The planet had plenty of plant life and there were blood stains on parts of the shuttle that matched LT. Zapatera. Our team followed a trail to a point when Commander Haemelin was shot in a surprise attack but the attacker fled before we could return fire. Eventually both teams converged on a temple and the second team found Lt. Zapatero with in the temple. Meanwhile, our team attempted to fight off several Oclar that had located us. It was quite a fight and we were running low on ammo. The Oclar had set up some kind of transporter inhibitors that prevented us from escaping.

Eventually several explosions were seen in the distance. They were torpedo hits from the USS Sheppard. Captain Dwi was able to disable to inhibitors and then beam us back to the Sheppard. The situation on Sheppard wasn't much better than the surface. The Oclar knew the Sheppard wasn't a captured ship and attacked. Combating 5 Oclar ships with an entire fleet on the way the situation was grim. A Chenae ship called the Shroud of Keldar arrived in the nick of time and pulled us into some kind of anomaly that is very similar to the Anomaly that brought the Sheppard in the past expect highly advanced with no damage to the Sheppard. This was something that requires further investigation.

To: Lt. Commander April Coswell, Chief of Operations
From: Ens. Melisa Ellison, Helm officer

We continued our search for our missing officer after having received a bit of information from the captive Oclar. Seems that the lieutenant was last seen escaping from an Oclar facility he had been taken to. However, he was shot down and crashed onto a planet. Our mission was to search out this planet and attempt a rescue operation.

As we approached the planet, I established a standard orbit. Commander Hamelin split us up into teams before beaming down to the planet. I was with Lts. Lombardia and Ravenheart, as well as Commander Hamelin. When we arrived, a considerable blood from of the missing lieutenant had been identified, confirming that he was, in fact, on the planet. After we’d split up, the search through the tall grass was a bit treacherous, making it hard to see as we encountered fire from Oclar who had also beamed down to the planet. I took a number of hits, as we found the lieutenant. He seemed out of sorts--delusional--in that he didn’t seem to recognize anyone at first. We took heavy fire as we attempted to secure him and get us all beamed back to safety.

We did make it back, but that wasn’t the last we’d heard of the Oclar. I took my station, and prepared our get away from the impending approach of Oclar vessels. I maneuvered the ship, attempting to steer clear of Oclar fire. Thankfully, just as we were being hit, a strange anomaly appeared before us. A Chanae ship emerged from its opening, and assisted us with our escape. In accordance with their instructions, I took our ship just below the Chanae vessel, and killed our engines. We entered the anomaly with their ship. We weren’t sure where we were going, but we’re sure to find out.

Conclusion:

I noticed that the anomaly the Chenae vessel generated was somewhat similar to the one that brought us here in the first place. In addition, it caused close to zero stress on our systems or hull integrity, which is rather surprising. Ops will be studying this with Science.

Log entry:
We are enroute, to a planet we believe Lt Zapatero is alleged to have landed or crash landed on. At the same time we are working with the chenae and an Oclar ship we have taken command on, by their own laws.

Individual Reports:
When we arrived there were 5 other ships from the Oclar that were already running a search of crewman. I'm not fully sure of their interest but most likely they had hopes to learn some technology from him. Having the Oclar ship with us seemed to keep them from openly attacking us.

We pulled together two search parties, going armed and in Combat Uniform we beamed to the surface where we picked up signs of his shuttle. Spreading out CMDR Hamelin took her team in one direction and CMDR Coswell the other, I went with Coswell.

On our recon we came across an ancient temple or structure we made our way to the top and the floor dropped out from under me. Catching my right robotic arm on the stairs I was apple to slow my decent. Where I was faced with an Oclar who opened fire on me. Rolling into a defense position I returned fire. We were in luck. Lt Zapatero was there a bit out of it but Leo and the team worked on getting him secure.

Outside CMDR Hamelin's team arrived and we were under fire. We tried to reach the Sheppard but were unable to reach them. Do to some interference and we were couldn't beam out do to some dampening fields.

Something from space which later turned out to be the Sheppard was using Phaser fire to take out the dampeners on the surface. With dampeners gone we all beamed back on to the Sheppard. Where it seemed the earlier signatures I read were 5 more Oclar ships.

Outnumber we Maneuvered and fired back as best we could, once again the Chenae came to the rescue leading us out of there and into an odd spaceial rift that sent us far away from that area. Much like those that caused us to skip time.

Conclusion:
We used up 4 more photon Torpedoes, and I've put Alpha and Bravo teams on a stand down until they have gotten some rest.

Individual Reports:

Morning Shift: began with monitoring our Oclar ship by remote, while I accessed as many of their files and resumed downloading any information including anything of their history I could, I have begun to make headway into their language luckily and it's made accessing them infinately easier. We came to the planet where we hoped to find Lt Zapatero, tracking his trail helped and we quickly formed two away parties to head planetside. I was able to gather some rather remarkable plant scans as soon as we got down, and then set to work on finding out lost crewmember. Once there tracks led us to a structure much like Earth's ancient Aztecs, with outside stairs leading to the top. Once there, some hidden mechanism we must have tripped retracted the floor, causing Rich to fall through.
Descending we were able to subdue the Oclar who were confronting our apparently dillussional crewman and we made attempt to get out as quickly as possible following a bit of a fight as we left and Oclar decided they wished to detain us.
We were saved by the Chenae who took us through a portal similar to the one that brought us to this timeline.
