Station log Stardate 161001.0940, Commodore StJohn reporting…
I just completed a conference call with B. Gen Miles Powerdagger. There is to be a generally assembly of the Joint Chiefs meeting next week to discuss diplomatic relations with the current star governments within our general region of space. He has asked that Kressler and I represent the UFS. Personally, I would prefer to fake my death then go to the meeting. He was kind enough to smile at my comment before ordering me to go. Again, I ask myself how and why I accepted the rank of Commodore. It was so much easier to be a Captain. This will teach me to never trust a smiling Admiral Calhoun when he calls and asks for a favor.

On a different note, the construction of the station continues. Lt Ruaelle and her team are continuing to give the SCE hell for being slow. She wants her station done. The new Peedy Thor Station is still off to a slow start. Although most of the main hull is completed, it is the interior that is the hold up. I am still working with the design teams to map out the station. Dealing with the contract source has been a challenge. None the less, it is progressing and hopefully will be completed.
Addendum: We have had a few changes in personnel and positions. The first was the promotion of Kondrad Hyland to the rank of Captain. KarlFlo was promoted to the rank of LTjg and Ruaelle Lionheart was promoted to the rank of Lt Commander, which was long overdue. Ru had refused promotion stating, “I have no desire to be any closer to Captain that is necessary”. Also, LTjg Safiya Reah has transfer from Security to the Intelligence division. She will now be heading up our Strat Ops and Intel services.

The crew of Starbase Pathfinder has just finished logging into their stations. Commodore StJohn had just walked into the command center. Newly commissioned Captain Kondrad Hyland had the con and was getting things into order. “Good morning Commodore, everyone is accounted for and present, except for Shadow”. Andromeda looked around and had noticed that her longtime friend was not present. It was unlike her to be late for duty, especially being a marine. You could set your clock on them. “I know that she has not been feeling well as of late. I will have the CMO go and check on her” said Andromeda. Just as she was about to call medical, Shadow came into the command center. She looked tired and slightly pale. Andromeda did not say anything as she did not want to draw attention to her XO. Shadow for her part smiled and assumed her position and logged in. Shadow was about to say something but Andromeda waved her off but would check on her in a bit. Kondrad moved over to the Operations station and assumed control.
Later in the shift, the crew had started clearing for lunch breaks. Andromeda, Shadow and Ru were walking out of the Command leaving Kondrad in command. They were in the turbolift when the Andromeda’s combadge chirped, “Commodore, I think you need to return to command. There is a Virdol Security ship approaching the station. They are demanding to speak with you”. Andromeda looked and her two friend, “They are ‘demanding’ to speak with me? Wow, pushy little group aren’t they? I’m on my way”.

When they arrived, Kondrad was in intense conversation with the Virdol. He muted the screen when he saw Andromeda arrive. “Commodore, the Virdol are claiming they are here for you. They would not specify what it is they are here for”. Andromeda and Shadow quickly scanned their boards. Seeing nothing out of the ordinary, Andromeda unmuted the comms and addressed the Virdol. “This is Commodore StJohn of the...”, the Virdol officer interrupted her, “I AM Virdol Security leader Lantross. I am here to bring you to Virdol justice”. Shadow looked at Andi and whispered, “Bring you to Virdol justice? I wonder what that means”. Andi shook her head. “Leader Lantross, I thought Leader Mandel had cleared me of all charges. It was proven that we did not kidnap and killed your Ambassador”. Leader Mandel was executed for failing to properly file charges and pursuing you. I will not make that mistake. You represented the Federation and promised the safety of our Ambassador. You blatantly failed in your promise. For that, you will be executed”. This shocked everyone. Kondrad chimed in, “What about a proper trial for the Commodore”? Lantross just leered at him, “Under Virdol system of justice, she was sentenced to execution. She will have a trial and then the sentenced. If she should, by some chance be found not guilty, the Virdol Government will issue a letter of pardon and notify her family”. Shadow angrily jumped in, “Let us see if we understand. You are going to carry out the sentence and murder our Commodore and then hold the trail to see if by some chance she was innocent”? Lantross just smiled, “That is how Virdol practice justice”.

Andromeda muted the communication before her crew erupted. As soon and the words “muted” appeared on the screen, the onslaught of objections started. She had to call for silence from her staff who was on their feet. “Commodore”, said Safiya, “There is no way in in the nine hells of Trill that I am going to allow you to go with them”. Shadow, Kondrad and Ruaelle agreed. Her grandson KarlFlo, who was like her, also stated, “Grandmother, I cannot allow you to be killed for something that you had no control of”, he said calmly. Andromeda glared at him as she was not used to being called “Grandmother” thought she understood. They had only realized that they were related due to an adoption of her daughter some years ago. She pulled herself back. When she looked into his eyes and understood her said it out of love for his grandmother. Kondrad was already bringing the stations defensive systems online as he made calculation for targeting their vessels. Lizzy was already contact her people in sickbay to get them ready. Safiya was doing an intensive scan of their vessels and relaying the information to Command, Security and Engineering consoles. Ru was looking over the schematics.

As the crew was still objecting to the Commodore, the station shook with a minor blast from the Virdol ship. Andromeda unmuted the communication, “What the hell? Why are you firing on my station?” Andromeda stated with fire in her voice. Lantross simply stated, “You were taking too long”. From her right, Kondrad called out, “Commodore, we have twenity more Virdol ships dropping out of warp. They are taking an englobement postion around the station”. On the command tactical screen, they could see the ships moving into positions. “Kondrad”, Andromeda called, “What is your opinion on the Virdol ships”? Ru looked at the scans that Lt Reah had sent a few minutes ago. “Captain, the Virdol ships do not appear to be any real threat to the station. Their weapons system are no match for our shields”. Ru piped in, “Commodore, there might be a problem”. Everyone turn to Ru, “If I am reading these scan correctly, their power curve is abnormally high for a ship of their size. The energy wave form coming from them suggest the possibility that they use a Tricobolt power system”. Shadow looked at Andromeda, “Andi, are they frakking crazy? Tricobolt drive are almost as unstable as the Omega particle. Their own weapons system would never take the energy pulse. It would fry and kill everyone onboard”. Safiya added her opinion, “Commodore, Reah wanted me to tell you that they most like would just ram the station. The resulting explosion with serverely damage if not destroy the station”. Ru stated, “If that were the case, I estimate that they only need to use three, maybe four ship to cripple the station.

When Andromeda turned to look at Lantross, he just leered back at her, “Which will it be Commodore, you or you and your station”? Andromeda asked, “May I have a few moments to say goodbye and transfer command. It does take time, we do not just run off”. “I will show you more mercy than you showed my kinsman, I will give you whatever time you need”. Andromeda tilted her head slightly and cut off communications. Shadow got in her friend’s face, “I know that you will sacrifice yourself for the station but, under the circumstances, they are going to kill you and then have a trail?!?!”, Shadow strongly stated. Andromeda just looked at Shadow and she back down. “Have you met me? Do you think for a second that I am going to allow these bastard to kill me”? She motioned for Sayfia to come to her station. When Safiya Reah arrived, she whispered something into her ear and Safia left the command.

Andromeda then typed a command into her console and sent instructions to Ru’s console. Shadow looked down and saw what she typed and disappear to her own console and type in commands. Ru saw the priority message flash on her screen and read the instructions. She then typed instructions to her staff in the shuttlebay. In the meantime, she transferred command over to Shadow and headed towards her office.

Shadow walked into her friend’s officer just in time to see the glow of a transporter beam fading into nothingness. “Are you sure this is going to work”? Andromeda looked at her friend, “I am not totally sure but what choice do I have? I am not going to allow them any excuse to blow up the station. These guys are out for blood and revenge. They do not care for ‘justice’. Well, let see how high a price they are willing to pay to get it”. Shadow knew of the Andromeda’s past and was not sure who she felt sorry for. “We will be on standby. I will have the Vox Aura prepped and readied”. Andromeda, stated the obvious, just make sure that you find the bastards who caused this in the first place. Contact Davis at Fleet Intelligence. I understand he has been working on tracking down the ones that started this whole mess. For now, I am just going to hope that they will not kill me as soon as I materialize”. Andromeda changed into her LC uniform and headed to the transporter room.

Commodore Andromeda StJohn sat on the floor near a table. It was the same table she had stood or sat next to for the past unknown number of days. On the floor of the table, an object appeared. She picked it up and spoked into it…
Personal log Stardate 161008, Commodore StJohn reporting…

I am being transported to the Virdol Home world to stand for Execution for an incident that occurred a few months ago. Apparently, the Virdol sentence the accused first, carry out the sentence, then hold the trail. Should I be found innocent, they will send a letter of apology to the Federation. That make me feel so much better.

Since leaving Starbase I have had to endure hours of interrogation. Thus far, I have been treated somewhat well. Well, if you consider a small grey being screaming at you demanding that I admit guilt for something that we had no control over. I have been denied access to a Federation Representative and r communication with the Federation. As they are not member of the Federation, there is no Federation Ambassador to gain assistance.

I suspect that there is something more to this. The Virdol are known to be somewhat unreasonable. It has been said that they are like the Tellarite of the alpha quadrant. I have not idea what a Tellarite is but, I understand that they just like to argue and fight. The Virdol appear to be a race that believe they are under respected by other races. Given their attitude, I have no respect for them either. No wonder they appear to be at odds with everyone around them. Only time will tell.

Andromeda was standing in a featureless room. The walls were a light grey color. The room tempature was a cool 60 degrees. The Virdol did not tolerate warmer tempatures well. The lights were dimly lit as the Virdol did not handle bright lights well. It might be due to their unusally large eyes. The walls of the room were flat and cool to the touch as was the floor. She knew this as they took her boots from her. Virdol do not wear footware. It was too beneath them to adore their feet with coverings. There were odd shadows throughout the room that gave it a gloomy look to it. She replaced the object on the floor. Her shadow fell across the object and it disappeared when Security Chief Lantross, along with its Aid, entered the room. They stood sided by sided. Two guards came in holding pain sticks and began to prod Andromeda into a standing position in front of the table across from Security Chief Lantross and its Aid. For the… She no longer cared. She had grown tired of dealing with him days ago. Lantross’ action and attitude reminded her of some Terran males that lacked height compared to her.

The Virdol was an androgynous race. There were no outward signs of their gender. They were only 1.2 to 1.4 meters in height weighting only 65kg. Their skin was a pale white to pale gray in colors. They had very large round head with very small ears. Maybe that was why it was so hard to get anything through their darn heads. They have large eyes and have very little color variation compared to other races. Most of the Virdol that she had seen were of a thin build. They basically had very little outward physical features. Even though they were short in statue, they had extremely long arms and legs with a short torso. They generally dressed in robes of different colors. From what she gathered, the Robes signified status within their society. Their hands were long and thin while their feet appeared to be small and thin.

For Andromeda, the interrogating techniques they employed was laughable. She would have had prisoner vomiting out information hours ago. The Virdol had no clue what they were up against. First of all, Andromeda had years of security and investigative experience with her time in the Federation. They had softened her a bit as compared to her time with the Commonwealth as a member of the Highguard. She was also a member of the Shadow Guard. A secret division within the Highguard that just got things done. Her family had a long history of membership with the Shadow Guard. They wanted her the second they found out about her abilities and they made use of them. What the Virdol were doing would have made her instructors laugh themselves unconscious for days. The Virdol were living example of what NOT to do. Their first mistake was threatening a prisoner that was already scheduled for termination. She had no reason to cooperate. It was not like she was going to gain anything and they had pissed her off.

Lantross stood in front of her trying to stare her down. Even Andromeda tried not to laugh having to look down at her interrogator. After all, she was at her smallest that she could make herself for when she had to deal with humanoid races of the Delta Quadrant. Even so, she still towered over the Virdol which, seem to irritate the Lantross even more. Screaming at a being that you only come up to their chest level, is hardly intimidating. Andromeda did her best to look worried. Lantross on the other hand looked irate.

“COMMODORE StJohn, you obviously are not taking this investigation seriously. You will do well to save us time and just admit your guilt” he said as he slapped his hands down on the table. Andromeda was growing tired of dealing with this idiot. “Security Leader Lantross, I am taking this situation serious. It is you that I do not take seriously”. Andromeda almost laughed when he bared his teeth at her. She tought about shifting into her Kiana form and barring her teeth and fangs. “We can see who has scarier teeth you frakking fool”, she thought to herself. Sitting next to Lantross was its Aid Vuloyen. Andromeda was not sure if the Aid was male or female since the Virdol were an androgynous race. Vuloyen was actually taller than the Security Chief and appeared to be uncomfortable with what was going on. During much of the interrogation, Vuloyen would looked away. In fact, Vuloyen appeared to want to be anywhere in the galaxy then right here. Andromeda had decided that no matter what happen, she would allow Vuloyen to live. She was not willing to make that promise for the Security Chief.

Lantross had been screaming at Andromeda for what seemed like days and she was tired and hungrey. She had not eaten since leaving PRS. The Virdol had made no effort to offer her food or water. In fact, Lantross had told her that it saw no reason to waste the ship’s rations on someone that was going to die anyway. For the hundredth time, Lantross demanded Andromeda to admit guilt. Andromeda had not slept in at least two or three days. Lantross had kept her in the same room with the light at a low level. The Virdol were mild sensitive to bright lights. She took in a deep breath and said, “Security Chief Lantross, if you will bring me food, I am willing to make an admission”. Finally, the little being actually smiled. “I will be more than happy to have sustanence brought to you as soon as you admit your guilt. Lantross was not showing signs of excitement. He was on the verge of getting a confession. Andromeda stood tall and faced the Virdol. “I Commodore Andromeda StJohn of the United Federation Starfleet to and hereby admit the following of my own free will. When I was 9 cycles old, my brother and I snuck into the palace kitchen and stole sweet cakes. Then at the age is 11 cycles, I hacked the security code to my mother’s hoverbike and snuck out of the palace. I went to the nearby river to go swimming. Then at the age of…” She did not see the blow coming. Lantross used his insanely long arms and struck her on the side of her face. Andromeda saw stars. For such a small race, they son of a bitch hit hard.

Andromeda left ear was still ringing. Vuloyen must have seen the look in Andromeda’s eyes because they rushed to grab Lantross arm to pull them out of the room. Lantross responded by striking Vuloyen knocking them to the table and then to the ground. There was a loud sickening “crack” sound when Vuloyen had hit the table. It was about to strike again when Andromeda grabbed Lantross by the next and lifted the being off the ground. It took everything within her not to break his darn neck. She straight armed the Security Chief and began to grow taller until her head reach the ceiling. “If you ever touch me again or strike one of your people in my presences and I will rip your frakking arms off and beat into unconsciousness. She then threw the Security into the guards that came rushing in. they all went down in a heap outside of the room.

Andromeda moved to check on Vuloyen. Vuloyen was dazed and looked ill. There was a bluishwhite liquid coming from a head wound. Vuloyen’s eyes were beginning to glaze over. Andromeda was hit from behind and pushed out of the way as what might have been medical people surrounded the fallen aid. Andromeda was hurded into a corner at the point of multiple weapons and held in place until the Aid was removed from the room. Andromeda was seething and wanted blood of her own. There was no need for this. That frakking behind possibly killed one of his officers for no reason. Made she should have broke his darn neck. Once the Aid left the room, the guards back out of the room with their weapons trained on Andromeda. For the first time in this mess, Andromeda was truly upset and pissed.

While sitting there, a shadow near one of the walls began to move toward her. The shadow move to her side and blended with her own shadow. A voice spoke, “Are you alright”? Andromeda keep her mouth down and away from the camera’s line of sight, “I am feeling slightly homicidal. Were yo able to access the security system”? The shadow replied, “I am having some issue with their security system but I have the computer analyzing it. I hope to have something within the next hour or so”. Andromeda rubbed the sleft side of her face from where she was struck. “How much longer before we get to the Virdol homeworld”? “We are not going to the Virdol homeworld” the shadow said. “We are not? Where are we going?” Andromeda asked. “The shadow wavered for a bit, “It appear that we are going through Virdol space to a place near the Virdol/Malon border. We do not have a great deal of data on that region of space. The only thing out there that I recall was an abandoned refueling station the Malon used at one time but it was reported out of service more than several decades ago”. Andromeda sat back but covered her mouth as if she was covering the area of pain, “Interesting. Keep an eye one our course and let me know what is going on”. The shadow moved back to the wall and disappeared. In the place where it was standing, a small package had been left behind. Andromeda smiled, “Good old survival rations”.

2nd Officer Kondrad Hyland Recording

I have Been Placed in Temp Command of pathfinder (again)

Our Captain/Commodore: Andromeda Stjohn was taken and transported to the Virdol Home world to stand for murder of a Ambassador. We were ordered to use the best judgement to find out who it is that has set the captain up for the murder (i cannot believe that she would kill in cold blood)
At The Command Centre there Was Jackray Myself and Rebel IV, Engineering was Ruaelle and sickbay was Izzy

After the checkin of the stations we went to work on scanning and launching marine fighters to follow the ion trail of the Virdol to follow (or at leased to find where they took the Commodore in that direction) i ordered jackray to activate the dampening field around the station but moments later we were under attack i commanded Rebel IV to recall the fighters and fight off the attackers The Marine fighters did their job and the attackers withdrew to where they came from (i'm thinking its a distraction for something bigger), Sickbay reported no casualties no major injuries, Engineering reported that the station will need fixing after this attack, we are a step closer on where the commodore is and all we can do at the moment is wait (i just hope that the commodore is alright i dont want to have to be in temp command again) (joking)

Computer Save and stop Recording
