Station log Stardate 160227
Starbase Pathfinder is still picking up the pieces after the attack that occurred on stardate 151223. There will be a lot of repair work that needs to be done. We have released the USS Thunderbird, USS Rosenberg, USS Altair, and the USS Lakota to return to regular duty patrols. The USS Agamemnon remains in the area but has mostly returned to regular duty patrol as well. It is still unclear as to who the attacker where or why they targeted our station. Starfleet has assigned the matter to Intelligence to uncover the truth.

In the meantime, Starfleet ASDB has given us another Epsilon Class vessel to test and put through trials. It seem that they took most if Lt Lionheart’s suggestion on upgrades and changes to the ship. She has had her personal engineering team going over that vessel from one end to the other between her repair work on the station. I am not even sure she has slept in the past five days. It is my hope that we will take her out today and do a preliminary field test of her basic systems. While she is small, she does pack a punch as well as take one. It seems that Starfleet has already decided to leave the vessel here for “extended’ testing. I, as well as my crew, will be looking forward to having the ship here.

END MISSION REPORT

The senior staff of Pathfinder sat around the main conference table discussing today’s duties assignments. Most of the crew was tired and needed a break from the recent events. They have been through a great with repairs to the station and the formal Starfleet inquiry as to how the station was attacked and why our losses were so heavy. Starfleet Inquisition Team has been interviewing the crew about the incident. For the most part, they seem to be out for Andromeda’s head rather than anyone else’s. Still, the most they have done is just irritate the crew and the Captain. Both not a good thing.

“Ru, have you had a change to investigate why the environment control went out on deck 3, specifically the guest quarters that the Inquisition Team is using” the Captain asked. Ru looked at her in that “deadpan” Vulcan way, “I am still looking into it Captain. There is no reason why it should have failed. It is a brand new system: she replied. “Get to it when you can. They have added that to their list of unhappiness” said the Captain.

“Ok, for the final bit of news, we have another Epsilon Class vessel to field test. Starfleet has already said that she is staying here for extended testing”. A cheer went up around the room. Ru, Semi, and Jackery, had been working round the clock to get the ship ready for duty. They were tired but, they all had broad grins on their face. They had been upset at the decision to destroy that last ship. This time, they were going to make sure that tis one lasted a lot longer. God help the first poor soul that drops coffee on the carpet.

As the crew was finishing up with the morning briefing, the comm line beeped. Andromeda toggled the switch and answered. “Captain, I thought the Vox Aura was not scheduled for flight until this afternoon” said the Starport Dock Master. Andromeda looked at her friend and First Officer Shadow McConach. “That is correct. We will be taking her out at 1400hrs”. There was a pause, “Then we have a problem. She is powering up and moving into launch position. She is not answering hails and… What the hell?” the Dock Master and he yelled over his shoulder “Shut the darn doors”. From behind him, a voice yelled back, “The door have been overridden, I cannot shut the doors”. Shadow did not wait for anything. “Ru, can you lock down the space doors”? Ru called up the master control and entered her command codes. The main system for the Space Door appeared on her screen and she tried to regain control over the system. Next to her, Semi and Jackery looked on as Ru’s hands became a blur. “Shadow, I do not know how but my codes have been locked out of the system. I cannot close the doors” Ru said frustrated. Well, as frustrated as I Vulcan will show.

Andromeda stood, “Dock Master, have a Tactical Runabout moved to launch position. Shadow, get a tactical team ready and have them meet us in the shuttle bay. The rest of you, report to the shuttle bay ASAP, we are getting my frakking ship back”. All at once, the office rose and left the room and headed to the shuttle bay.

Onboard the Runabout Jordan, the crew got quickly settled. Ru took the helm with shadow as her co-pilot. Kondrad took Operations while Josh took the tactical station. Jackery took the Engineering station amidships with Varda at the medical station. Andromeda stood at the aft command station. “Ru, get us moving as soon as you are cleared. No need to wait for my order. Josh, coordinate with PRS Command and track the Vox Aura. Kondrad, try to hail that darn ship”. Everyone replied “Aye, aye Ma’am”. The shuttle bay doors were barely open enough for anything to get through then when Ru hit the accelerator and had them in space and in pursuit of the Vox Aura. The Jordan came around the station and headed out to deep space. Ru did not even bother to wait to clear the inner marker. She just jumped to warp and the ship was gone.

An hour later, they had found and were closing on the Vox Aura. The Vox Aura had chosen a course that took them deep into the uncharted region of space. This area had yet to be explored. Pathfinder had sent probes out into this area but, nothing had come back from the probes which had been traveling outbound for the last two years. The Vox Aura had not bothered to hide its trail. It was simply just headed outward on a linier course.

Joshed called, “Captain, we are coming into weapons range. I have a clear lock”. “Andromeda ordered him to hold but to maintain a lock. Kon had been trying for the past hour trying to get them to answer without any luck. Shadow was about to suggest something when the Vox suddenly changed course and fired its aft weapons at the Jordan. The Jordan rocked mildly from the impact. Josh reported, “Captain, either they are playing a game or whoever is in control, does not know how the weapons system works. That last hit was only 1/20 power”. “Don’t look a gift equine in the mouth”. The Captain said. Another volley was let loose from the Vox Aura that struck the Jordan a few more times at the same strength. “Josh, please ask them to stop shooting at us”. Josh smiled and let loose a volley of pulse phaser fire across the aft section of the Vox Aura. The fire impacted on the new shields with a slight flare. The Vox came about and entered attack pattern Alpha 7. Kon replied, “You have got to be kidding me”. The Vox flipped end over end so that it was facing the Jordan and accelerated and let loose another volley of phaser fire, this time, with increased strength and shot off. Ru’s finger flew across the board and flipped the Jordan in the same manner and took off after the offender.

Jackery spoke over the internal comm channel, “Have you considered the command codes for the Vox to just shut her down”? There was silence on the bridge of the Jordan, the Andromeda tapped in her command code. When the Vox Aura’s command codes appear, she sent them to Kondrad with order to shut everything down including life support to the Vox. Kon sent the command and got a computer message that read, “Command codes rejected”. Andromeda just looked at the screen with incredulity. “What the hell do you mean that the command codes do not work”? Kondrad’s hand flew over the console and reengaged the communication system and resent the command codes for the tenth time. Again, the message streamed a crossed the screen, “Command Codes Rejected”. “Captain”, Kondrad said “I have tried multiple times and the system is rejecting it”.

Shadow called from up front, “Captain, the Vox Aura has changed course and is making a run for a nearby star system. It will pass through and asteroid field. They may be trying to duck and hide from us”. Ru called, “Setting a pursuit Couse after them”. She stayed right on the behind end of the Vox Aura. She was determined not to lose them if she could help it. The Jordan weaved left, right, looped, and stayed right behind the Vox Aura. “Josh, fire off a volley of torpedoes across their bow. Let them know that their current course might irritate me”. Josh, hit the firing sequence. From the top of the Jordan, the torpedo launcher vomited four micro torpedoes that flew past the Vox Aura and detonated 100 meters in front of the Vox Aura blinding their systems for a few seconds. The Vox Aura changed course into a direct dive into the Asteroid field. “Target their engines, we will tow that ship back if we have to” ordered Andromeda. Again, Josh targeted the ship and fired. “Direct hit on the port engine. They appear to be slowing down”.

Sure enough, the screen showed that the Vox Aura was slowing down. Kon Console beeped, “Captain, we are being hailed, audio only”. Andromeda waited for Kon to make the proper connection. “Captain, there was no need to fire on your ship. I just wanted to make sure that she was ready for service”. Andromeda restrained herself from saying what was on her mind. Instead, she issued a demand, “Drop your frakking shield and prepare to be boarded”. Kon cut the transmission. :”Shadow, have your team get ready. Stun anyone that looks at you wrong” the Captain ordered. Shadow set her console to standby and went to the back of the Jordan to get her team of Marines ready.

A few minutes later, the transport beam released the team of Marines who began to make their way to the bridge. Once off of the pad, the second team appeared and moved out to search the rest of the ship. The first team arrived on the bridge to find a man sitting relaxed at the helm. He grinned broadly, “It took you long enough to get here. I shall have to log this in my report”. Before he could speak another word, his face met the business end of a phaser rifle stock and saw black. When he woke up, he found himself hanging in the air by a meter. He looked down at the business of a fist and into the face of one extremely pissed off Starfleet officer. “Captain St john, must I remind you again that we are on the same time”? Marcus Lionheart remained suspended in the air feeling a building tightness around his neck. To his right, stood Lt Col Shadow McConach, “I do not think the Captain really cares whose side you claim to be on at the current moment”. Marcus tried to smile as best as one could while being suspended in the air by an angry Keylarion. Andromeda for her part just squeezed harder on Marcus’ neck and took a great deal of satisfaction as the look on Marcus’s face went from smart-behind to wondering if maybe this time, she just might break his neck as she had been promising to do.

When Andromeda noticed that Marcus was in fact turning blue, she threw him to the deck. “You frakking SOB, what the hell do you think you were doing? Security, take this person into custody”. She tapped her combadge, “Ru, you and Jackery do a quick once over on the Vox Aura. Make sure we can fly her home. I want to get underway as soon as possible”. A few minutes later, the whine of the nearby transporter room could be heard. Within seconds, Ru and Jackery appeared on the bridge and they began a full systems check. After 30 minute had gone by, Ru gave her report. “All in All, the ship hardly took any damage. We can get underway when you are ready”. “Excellent, contact the Jordan computer and have it head back to PRS and then take us home best possible speed” Andromeda ordered. A few minutes later, both ship came about and jumped to warp.

On the nearby planet, the departure of both ships was closely observed. Behind the observer a voiced sounded. “Ready my ship, they have violated our space. This cannot go unanswered”, said the voice. The worker sent the orders to the hanger bay. In the hanger bay, a grand sleek looking ship rose to the launch position. The ship look like a long needle with broad wings. The ship had been polished to a mirror finish. In a way, it almost made the ship disappear in the jungle environment. From the nearby building, a set of guard dressed in flowing purple robes walked two by two towards the ship. In the center of the group, a tall figure walked with her eyes focused straight ahead. She never looked left or right. She with a warriors demeanor and boarded the ship. The ship rose into the air and made for space. Once it cleared the planet’s atmosphere, it set course towards Pathfinder.

Captain’s personal log stardate 150312.
I just completed the conference communication with the head of Starfleet intelligence, operations and diplomatic corps. I have informed them of the situation with Azerothians is told to me by Starfleet former Captain Madadh Hunter. Madadh Hunter, who is now Queen of the Azerothians, explained that her people are xenophobic and had bad dealings with Starfleet in the past. It appears that one point her people came to Starfleet asking for aid after disaster hit their home world. For some unknown reason, Starfleet did not follow through the promise in eating the Azerothians during their time of need. Ever since then, it has been there belief that Starfleet is seeking to take over their home world by driving them out.

As it was, they were content to stay on their world in their sector space and never cross paths with Starfleet ever again however; due to the reckless antics of Lt. Marcus Lionheart, we have managed to earn the ire of the Azerothian. Add to that the recent discovery that Pathfinder is being constructed in Azerothian space. According to Madadh Hunter her people view this as a sign of total aggression towards them. Many of her people call for war against the Federation while cooler heads are calling for more isolationism. For Madadh’s part, she’s in her own struggle to retain her throne. There are many of her people to believe that she’s done nothing more than betray them to Starfleet and are calling for her removal from the throne. Madadh is trying to do what she can to keep her people from one war but she feels louts were maybe an eventuality.

As it currently stands, Pathfinder may be facing war on two fronts, one with Azerothian People and the unknown attackers from a month ago. While Pathfinder is a tough and advanced station, there is only so much as can do. We are still underconstruction and severely understaffed. I am not sure that in our current condition, we can face this threat. I will be discussing options with my staff later today.

On the bright side, the USS Thunderbird docked with us yesterday and will be undergoing repairs for the next few days. A looking forward to spending some time with my old friend Captain Astra Portland, as we share a bottle of Vulcan wine that my chief engineer brought to me after last visit to Vulcan colony in the sector. Of course, the last time I did this with her, I end up in sick bay with something humans call “the hangovers”.

END MISSION LOG

Captain Andromeda St. John sat in her usual spots in the main conference room on the command deck. To her right said her executive officer Lt. Col. Shadow McConach wall to her left, sat Cmdr. Hyland Kondrad was the second officer as well as the chief of security for the station. She just finished reviewing the current political state to which now found in cells them. There have been more than one suggestion made to turn Marcus Lionheart over to the Azerothian people as a goodwill gesture. Personally, as much that dislike Marcus I don’t think anyone deserves that sort of treatment.

If of all, I would like to welcome the Captain Azdra Portland and her command staff to our meeting. Please give them our usual warm welcome. The crew of Pathfinder cheered and welcome their brothers and sisters in Starfleet. The station porter staff served breakfast to everyone and they semi-relaxed into the meeting. Ru spoke up addressing first her Captain and then Captain Portland, “It is nice to see the Thunderbird hold up after your recent mission. We should have her ready to go in a few days. I think most of what we will do is finish the system we have planned to upgrade prior to you getting called away earlier than expected”. Azdra smiled knowing that Engineers were never satisfied with their work, “It was because of you and your staff that made us ready for what we faced. I and my crew were very happy with you being as exacting as you are. It helped out a great deal. I am looking forward to what you and my Chief Engineer come up with but, I do want to get back out there and finish what we started”.

“What is the current operational status of the station” asked Andromeda. An older to Andorian man, who sat next to Ru, spoke up, “All the repair work has been completed, we are currently back on construction schedule and where we were prior to the last attack.. If you could manage not to get us into another battle, we might be able to actually get some work done around here instead of repairing the station after you have pissed someone off”. The Andorian male was the new CO of the Starfleet Corp of Engineers that was constructing Pathfinder. The last Chief transferred out after a series of unfortunate events. It appears that for some unknown reason, the environmental and gravity control in his quarters never worked. Add to that the fact that he woke up more than one nude in various parts of the station. Well, the list goes on and on and on. He finally called it quits and left us to go find a new assignment. From what I heard, there was a mistake made in his orders and her now on some ice planet overseeing the construction of a science outpost. There were some suggestions that he met the business of a certain Vulcan Chief Engineer, though, it could not be proven. “Under the current circumstances, I cannot make any such promises. I would suggest that you have your teams ready to be pulled from the hull at a moment’s notice”, Andromeda said dryly.

“Ru, what is the status of the Vox Aura”? For a Vulcan, Ru was beaming with pride. Her little ship was back. She and her staff had gone over every inch of that ship and got her back up to certification status. “Captain, she is more than ready for trails. They made a lot of improvement that I think you will be well pleased with”. Andromeda smiled at that. “Finally, something that has gone right” she thought to herself.

She next turned her attention toward Mika Pearl who was covering for Josh. “Have our new fighter pilots settled in”? Mika looked her in the eye, “Yes Ma’am, they are all settled in. We have already ran several drills. Thus far, their scores are impressive”. Andromeda smiled at Shadow, “I guess you and your team really have revamped the Marine Academy”. Shadow took some pride in that remark, “Thank you Ma’am”. The meeting was interrupted when the Captain’s combadge chirped. “St John here” she answered. “Ma’am, there is a vessel entering PRS airspace. They are refusing flight directions. They are demanding to speak with the ‘Leader of the Violators’”. Andromeda looked at Shadow concerned, “Do you have an ID on them”? There was a few second of silence and then the OIC replied, “The Azerothian Vanguard”. Both Andromeda and shadow were on their feet heading towards command, “Yellow Alert”. The rest of the meeting ended as everyone headed towards command. Captain Portland tapped her combadge, “=^= Portland to Thunderbird, recall all personnel and go to Yellow Alert and stand ready for combat =^=”. A tired, drowsy voice came over the comms, “=^= Setsuko to Portland, What is going on? My spouse and I were um…=^=”. “=^= Morning Commander. Sorry to have woken you but they got a little bit of a problem here. =^=”. Susie snapped instantly awake, “=^= You don’t say, Ma’am, is it going to be fun =^=”? Azdra just smiled, “=^= We are at Pathfinder and Andi is involved, what do you think =^=”? Susie was hoping out the door of her quarter still getting her uniform when she said, “Computer, Red Alert, battle station”.

Back on Pathfinder, Rebel was talking hir crew the rapid start-up sequence to get the ship prep and ready, “=^= Rebel to the Thunderbird, beta crew, run program Quick Fire 1-00-Baker. =^=”. Alana Skytower, who was a civilian specialist, hoped into the helm seat and reported in, “=^= Skytower at Helm. Security running Quick Fire now. Should we start warming up the drive =^=”? “=^= Rebel to Thunderbird, once weapons are hot, all security teams prepare offensive maneuver Kappa 0-2-0 =^=”. The actual helm officer arrived on the bridge and move to take his seat only to find Alana there and logged in. He backed off when she stared daggers at him. “Next time, hurry your behind up and beat me here”. He went and found another station and continued to help prep the ship of combat.

As they entered the command center, the main view screen showed a large sleek vessel hovering just off of the inner marker. Since they had not had a chance to replace the Operations officer in command, ENS Francis Campbell from the Thunderbird took the station. “ENS Campbell, signal all ships not currently docked to clear the PRS airspace until further notice”. ENS Campbell acknowledge the order and sent out the warning. “Captain”, Campbell said, “Some of the ships are refusing to clear the airspace. They do not want to lose their place in line”. “Frakking idiots. Thank you ENS. Open a channel to the Azerothian ship”. As she waited for the ENS to establish the comm channel, Andromeda tapped in a command onto her console which sent everything that was occurring to Madadh Hunter’s quarters. Campbell stated, “Channel open Ma’am”.

=^= This is Captain Andromeda StJohn of the Federation Starbase Pathfinder. How can we be of assistance =^=”? The screen switched to a male figure. He appeared to be humanoid with dark grey skin. He had snow white hair like many of his race did. His eyes were a dark ruby color and glinted in the dim light. He had long pointed ears. He wore battle armor that was customary for his race. He sat in a chair that appeared to be gold plated bones. He held a specter in his right hand. His glared at the view screen, “=^= I am here to inform you that you presence in our space will no longer be tolerated. We were content to allow you to build your station but when your ships flew near our home world, your presence cannot longer be tolerated =^=”. Andromeda replied, “=^= The ships that entered your airspace was the result of one of the ships having been stolen. We gave pursuit and reclaimed the stolen ship. I apologies to you and your people. Your Queen brou…=^=”. The Azerothian interrupted, “=^= She is no ‘Queen’ to us any longer! She betrayed her people by bringing Starfleet here. We cannot have someone serving two people. I am also here to ‘bring her home’ =^=” he said in an angry tone that revealed malice. “=^= I will inquire with her to see if she does indeed wish to return to her home with you =^=”. He was on his feet advancing on the screen, “=^= You will turn over Queen Madadh Hunter over to us now. You do not need to ask her anything. Just Do It”. Andromeda, smiled, “Is it your custom to disrespectfully order your Queen around =^=”? The communication line was cut.

Kondrad called out, “Captain, I have six more ships coming in hot. All seven ships are charging weapons”. “Red Alert, all hand battle stations! I was so hoping we could have talked our way out of this”. Mika called out, “Captain, I have six fighters maned and ready to go”. “Andromeda considered this and then gave the order, “Launch them and have them take up defensive positions. I need them to cover the remaining idiots who did not leave the combat area. Once the civvies are cleared out, have them stand ready to come in from behind the enemy line”. Captain Portland spoke up, “The Thunderbird is manned and ready. If you can get the space doors open, she is ready to fight”. “Ru, contact that the Dock Master and give the Thunderbird priority launch clearance”. Ru’s fingers tapped in the command and the Thunderbird was cleared. Campbell, have transporter room 12 lock on to Captain Portland…” Azdra interrupted, “That will not be necessary, I can coordinate with my XO from here. I think Rebel V and I can be of more use here”. Andromeda smiled, “Thank Azdra. Campbell, belay my last. Azdra, you and your officer can log in at my station with Shadow and myself”. Shadow tapped in commands that gave them access and tactical scan of the combat theater.

=^= Thunderbird, this is the Captain, keep and open channel until further notice, use scramble code Theta 17. Launch when ready =^=”. The voice of her XO, Cmdr Susie Setsuko came back, “=^= Understood Ma’am. Thunderbird moving out =^=”. On one of the secondary screen, the Akira class ship began to move towards the space door when the first blast from the enemy ship came in. One of the ship saw the space door opening and started towards them. They encountered the business end of the Thunderbird. She fired phasers and struck the ship before it could get lined up to enter the port. The Azerothian ship was knocked off its axis and started to roll when it was hit with a repulsar beam and pushed backwards as the Thunderbird emerged from the space doors. From there, the Thunderbird delivered a gift of photon torpedoes into the underside of the ship. It took moderate damage and broke off. “Tough ship”, Rebel V stated. Thunderbird barely cleared the space doors and dived down towards the heat of the battle. Over the communications channel, they could here Skytower, “=^= Come here you little fuckers =^=”. Azdra just smiled, “That is our little Alana”.

Set of three ships in a diamond formation made for Pathfinder’s docking ring. There was a medium freighter docked there and was an easy target. Kon spotted the move and targeted the lead ship and fired. The phaser blast caught the ship on the port side but did little to slow the ship down. The Azerothian ships fired on the freighter. If it were not for Pathfinder’s shield extending around it, it would have been destroyed. As it was, the shield took one hell of a beating. “What the hell are they shooting us with?” Jackery asked to no one in particular. The other three ship formed up and made for Pathfinder’s mid-section. The blast rocked the station and tossed personnel around a bit. “Frak if I know Jackery but, whatever the hell it is, it packs a punch”. There was a bright flash and a cloud on the main screen as the enemy formation broke up and the ships scattered. Flying through the center was the Thunderbird firing her forward weapons. The ship had managed to gain on them and struck hard. “=^= Thunderbird to Pathfinder, having a wonderful time, Engineering dump everything you have into the shields. Pathfinder, who the bloody hell are they? =^=” Setsuko asked. “=^= They are known as Azerothian. They are somewhat offended that we are here =^=”. Andromeda called to her tactical officer, “Kon, continuous fire. We need to get through those shields”. Mika spoke up, “Captain, I am reading fighter coming in 33 mark 117. I do not know where the hell they came from but they are here now”. Shadow, answered back, “Have the fighters break off escort duty and engage the incoming fighters”. “=^= Fight Com to all fighter, break off escort duty and engage the incoming fighter at grid 03 – 33 mark 117 =^=”. “=^= Flight Com, this is Black Leader, copy orders, breaking off to engage =^=”. On Mika’s screen, the six Marine fighters broke off and closed on the incoming fighters. In the mist of this, the Dalaran, Madadh Hunter’s ship, slipped out of the main shuttle bay and sped away. One of the attacking vessels saw her and gave chase. Madadh made for an asteroid belt. She was about to enter when her purser caught up and fire. There was an exchange of fire and then nothing more. Andromeda saw the incident but, could not spare anyone to assist. They would search the area later.

The computer screamed over the noise, “Fire Alert, deck 11, Operation main computer room. Fire suppression system offline”. Shadow spoke up, “Ru, get a damage control team to deck 11 ASAP. We cannot lose the main computer system”. Ru turned to Jackery, get to deck 11 and head the team there. Do whatever you have to keep the main computer online”. Jackery did not bother with a response. He was already sprinting to the turbolift. Kon was doing is best to target and fire. He had deployed all of the station weapons and had created and sphere of death around the station.

Thunderbird stayed outside of the sphere but continued to engage the Azerothian ships. The first group of enemy ships was making a line for the engineering section. Thunderbird spotted it and warned the station. As the group of Azerothian ships headed for the main engineering section, two of the ships broke off and pulled away leaving the lead ship to continue in. Rebel scream, “=^= Suicide runner headed for main engineering =^=”. They all looked up to see the ship increasing speed as it closed on the engineering section. Thunderbird had already swung around and was on an intercept course. “=^= Susie =^=”, was all that Azdra got out. Thunderbird had picked up speed and fired an alpha strike on the ship. All forward phasers and torpedoes had fired at once in a concentrated burst. All had hit their mark. The phasers had weakened the shield and allowed the torpedo access to a nearly bare hull. The port side of the ship was ripped opened and Thunderbird fired phasers into what remained. The ship was destroyed but, it had gotten too close to the station. The remains of the ship slammed into the damaged shields in that section and then into the hull. The computer protest rather loudly, “Hull breech, deck 30, Main engineering. Force fields in places. Fire Alert, Deck 30 Main Engineering”. Ru was already getting rescue team moving. Shadow hit the comms, Command to Sickbay, we need a rescue team to Main Engineering. We had a hull breech and fire in that section. The voice of Rosalind Duffield, came back, “I have paramedic responding”. Over the comms, a grim report came, “=^= Pathfinder, there are bodies floating in space =^=”. Andromeda saw only red.

Kondrad continued to lock and fire. Thus far, is was making slow progress on the enemy ships. “Their technology was much better than we were told’. Their ships appeared to be able to take a phaser hit and seemingly not bat an eye. Still, scans showed that the ships were starting to take damage. Serious damage. “Two of more of the ships appear to be breaking off and holding position near the inner marker beacon. That leave four more to deal with” Kondrad reported. Mika was quiet happy with his charges. His Marine fighter wing was doing a great job. They had managed to destroy 75% of the enemy fighter force and not lose a single ship in the process. “=^= Black leader, come around and reengage that wing of fighters before they can get near the command center =^=”. The fighter all executed a 180 degree somersault on their current trajectory and shot off in their new direction and headed towards the engagement area. All fighter opened up on the aft end of the ships and took them out”. “=^= Black Leader to Command, it appear that they are weak in the aft section. All of their armor is in the front=^=”. Mika turned towards the Captain, “Did you hear that”? Oh yes Sir, “=^= Thunderbird, do you think you can do something about that =^=” asked Azdra. “=^= you bet you happy behind we can =^=”, said Susie and Alana at the same time. On the screen, Thunderbird came about and locked onto the aft end of one of the Azerothian ship. They fired and hit them hard. The aft end of one of the ships open liked a shell. The remaining two ships broke off. In doing so, the provided Kondrad with a clear shot. Pathfinder opened up on the aft end of a ship. The ship took the hit and was spun off course. This left only one ship to deal with.

The remaining ship line itself up on Pathfinder’s command center and started a new run. Kondrad spotted it, “Captain, we have a problem. The last ship is doing a suicide run but it is building to a warp core breech”. Andromeda order, concentrate all fire on that ship”. Azdra ordered her ship to do the same and Mika ordered his fighter wing to follow suit. The Azerothian ship was subjected to concentrated fire from three directions. Thunderbird was moving to the enemy’s aft section. Before it could reach its position, the ship exploded from the concentrated fire. The concussion from the explosion hit the station with enough force to knock it off axis. Alarms screen and the computer fought to reposition the station.

The command center was intact. Smoke fill the area. Environment system were slow to respond. Everyone was blinded and coughing from the smoke. They could see bright flashes as a consoles sparked. Overhead, alarms screened multiple warnings. Minutes later, the sounds of footsteps were heard. Shadow, Mika, and Ru felt themselves being lifted and carried out into the hallways. Paramedics were scanning people. One by one, the command crews were either taken to sickbay or treated and released. Finally, Captains Andromeda and Azdra came limping out supporting each other. “As unusual, the last people out would be them”, said Mika.

TWO DAYS LATER
The command center was almost fully operational. They had invaded the Engineering Command center temporarily. Below the, they could see the damage to Engineering through the transparent floor. The hull breech was being secured. Seven Engineers had been sucked into space during the breech. Ru was not taking loosing friends well. Her Klingon side had flared and some less than motivate SCE crew ended up in sickbay for not moving fast enough. Andromeda had to take the brunt of the complaint from the New SCE Commander. He filed formal charges against Ru for assaulting another officer. Andromeda let the Commander yet as she had the communication channel on mute. She unmuted it every few minute to see if the Commander had finished. Finally, the screen went blank and she closed the line from her side. Thunderbird’s team had been a big help. They came in and began working with PRS limited crew and got system back up and running. Lt Cmdr Setsuko remained on Thunderbird, who had taken up patrolling around the station along with the Marines fighter. A rescue team had been sent to Madadh’s last position. Nothing was found.

In the mist of all the fighting, it was discovered that Lt Marcus has escaped and “borrowed” a runabout. His last course was unknown. He did record a message that was flag to appear on the Captain’s console. “Do need to worry about me Captain, we both know that I will be back. I am going to lay low for a bit until you have had enough time to become reasonable. I will have my boss call your boss and everything will be just find. I promise. I am sure that in time, you will come to see that this was all just a big misunderstanding”. The screen went blank.

Andromeda, Azdra, Susie, and Shadow, sat back in the Captain’s office passing around a bottle of Trill wine that Susie had stashed away. On the table in front of them, were three other empty wine bottles. They were all watching some an entertainment vid on the screen trying to relax. Ru had joined then at some pint bringing a bottle of Vulcan ale which was passed around. The door chime sounded and the visitor was admitted. Dr. Rosalund came in with a bottle of something and a hypospray. She went around the room and pressed against everyone’s necks including her own. “You all will thank me in the morning”. No one batted and eye and continued to relax. They had survived the day. Tomorrow was in question. PRS had somehow found itself in the middle of a civil war that they seemingly could not avoid.
