The project is approved by the CO of the Science Division.

[11:41]  Samuel Whizenhunt: Captain Turner agrees the project isn't RP, but she'd like us to use the term Science Expedition Team (SET) rather than Away Team, which she'd like to use in RPs
[11:42]  Samuel Whizenhunt: She'd also like us to talk to Elena Tatham of Tac/Ops outreach to see what she thinks of the project
[11:42]  Gijsjan Broek: ok sir. and the control of the project?
[11:42]  Samuel Whizenhunt: will be yours
[11:43]  Samuel Whizenhunt: I think she just wants Elena to be aware of it so that if we find a good SIM where RP could be done, Tac/Ops will know about it and can open diplomatic RP channels
[11:43]  Gijsjan Broek: that's Section 5 in my report sir
[11:44]  Samuel Whizenhunt: Yes, I realise, so will you contact Elena, tell her what the project is and ask her  how she'd like you to report to her if you find a good SIM (notcard, IM etc.)
[11:45]  Samuel Whizenhunt: if Elena's not online, I'm happy to approve the project, as long as the Tac/Ops outreach is addressed as soon as she is
[11:45]  Samuel Whizenhunt: OK)
[11:45]  Gijsjan Broek: yes sir. is the project cleared?
[11:45]  Samuel Whizenhunt: Project Magellan is approved by the Office of the Chief of Starfleet Science
[11:45]  Samuel Whizenhunt: congratulations
[11:45]  Samuel Whizenhunt: that's a green light Mr. Broek
[11:45]  Gijsjan Broek: thank you sir. i'll get started right away.
[11:46]  Samuel Whizenhunt: good man
[11:46]  Gijsjan Broek: thanks again sir. i organize a few missions this week.
[11:47]  Samuel Whizenhunt: excellent
[11:47]  Samuel Whizenhunt: make sure people understand it is not RP, it is serious data gathering in Starfleet uniform ;-)
[11:47]  Gijsjan Broek: yes sir. i will.

Correct. Mission 1 was an excercise mission in order to test it out and how it feels and goes. I've located 3 themes in the sim. One was the Stargate theme i first discovered but during the mission i've discovered another Star Trek theme called "Epsilon Fleet" and a theme called The Green Lantern. It was a very exciting and interesting test and experience.

Gijsjan,

Have you considered the Caledon sims for the Magellan project.  The theme is Victorian with a steam-based technology.  There are a lot of sims and exploring them properly might take a long time but i think it would be worth doing.

Kathen's right Gijs - they are amazing SIMs. As a civilian I'd certainly like to see my taxes spent on an expedition there ;-)

Thanks for the suggestion Kathen. I've planned Mission 9 for this.

You ever thought of posting your Mission Reports here for everyone to see the results of such missions?  That way anyone could decide weither or not to visit the SIM on their own.

I did. The problem is that i take pics during the missions. If i place the text in the topic there can be no pics included but i'll place the reports in their respective topics. For a full report with pics you can pick up 1 at the Copernicus database in the Conference room in the Science Deck at Cascade Station.
