The Voyages Of The USS Grampian

The Ournal Class space dock can support up to eight Sovereign Class vessels, and up to twenty four smaller ships. Tranquility is a huge show of Starfleet strength as well as a safe haven and a place to repair starships. It also provides staging areas for many freighters and transport vessels.

The giant sensor towers and the forest of antennae allow the facility to scan for light-years around the area of the station. Non-Starfleet endeavours are welcome at Tranquility. Retail and office space along with cargo holds and numerous holodecks are available. Tranquility provides transporter service and trade arbitration if necessary.

Tranquility also has a significant tourist trade, by virtue of its role as gateway to the Pinastri Sector. Advanced medical and scientific research facilities can be found on Tranquility. The only limit regarding missions is the imagination of its commander.

Mission 89: Future Proof Arc 4 – The Temporal Front

In response to Noye's actions a conference was held at New Romulus with the Alliance in the hopes of improving relations and defence.
On beaming down to the conference we met with a Lieutenant Commander Shavaa who led us through to meet the other representatives where after speaking to many of the attending representatives we were led through to the main conference room where things went bad quickly with a failed assassination attempt from a Na'Kuhl operative resulting in Shavaa's death while the Klingon Chancellor J'mpok was poisoned, he is being tended to by medical teams. Me and my team were able to catch up the operative and take them into custody for questioning.

Captain Walker arrived while we were interrogating the operative and he informed us that a Na'Kuhl faction in the future is preparing to go into Earth's distant past, he wanted our assistance in preventing this as best as possible by destroying their temporal portal.
With the operative in custody we returned to the Grampian and went with the Pastak to the 29th century, our destination the Na'Kuhl system, to do what we could to stop the Na'Kuhl faction.

On arriving in the future our first focus was to scan the system and attempt to understand while the Na'Kuhl sun was still holding together despite having been dead for centuries by this point, we couldn't find any answers so proceeded farther in where we came under attack by Na'Kuhl ships. With effort we were able to disable their flagship and beam aboard where we encountered a Na'Kuhl male called Vosk who made his intentions very clear, to ensure that the Federation never existed.
Walker focused on gathering what information he could as me and my team did oour best to hold the line against Vosk and his forces, Vosk eventually fled as he set the self destruct and Walker gathered what he could about the Na'Kuhl temporal technology while trying to stop the self destruct, he was unable to prevent it but was able to get as much information as he could. We returned to our respective ships just as Vosk escaped through the portal on another ship, we did our best to prevent more Na'Kuhl from entering it while doing what we could to destroy the portal. More 29th century Starfleet ships arrived to lead us a hand and with luck we were able to stop the Na'Kuhl and destroy the portal.
Walker attempted to determine where the Na'Kuhl who had escaped through the portal had gone only to be informed that Vosk and his people had been dealt with by Captain Jonathan Archer and his crew from the NX-01 Enterprise at some point in the distant past.

With Vosk out of the way we returned to the 25th century to await our next assignment. Hopefully the Na'Kuhl faction that was set on altering the past has been stopped for good.

T'Met has informed me that she feels that the crew could do with some serious shore leave and R&R, I am inclined to agree. The crew has been through a lot, she has also suggested that I do the same as soon as possible. I must admit to considering it. A good rest after everything that's happened would fairly help.
Maybe Risa will be our next port of call as soon as we can manage to.

Log Ends.

A new USS Grampian story, this story goes against the rules I made but the ideas were so strong that I had no choice but to get it done.

What is the greater loss, loss of age or loss of command? How about both?

Mission 90: Future Proof Arc 5 – Temporal Reckoning

Daniels contacted us to ask us to head to Deep Space Nine and head through the wormhole where we would head into the Gamma Quadrant and back to the 28th century to New Khitomer. Upon entering the wormhole we found ourselves back in the 28th century and at New Khitomer where we came under attack by Temporal Liberation Front forces, TLF for short. Once they were out of the way we beamed down to the station to deal with the forces there.
After a considerable degree of fighting we were able to reach the assembly hall where The Envoy was waiting for us along with Boratus, Krog and a new ally to their faction, Admiral Leeta of the Terran Empire.
To our surprise it turned out that the Envoy was Noye as somehow he had become affected by his misuse of time travel and it have left him disfigured and every time he was being restored he was causing harm to Daniels in the process, Leeta proceeded to murder Daniels after Noye and Leeta explained everything and how Leeta came to ally with the TLF, Noye having arranged for the Constitution class USS Defiant of our universe to be taken by the Terran Empire in the 22nd century by their Jonathan Archer after it had been transported to another universe after it had been disabled and drawn into interspace by the Tholians over one hundred fifty years ago and Noye leaving a message in that ship's computers to be retrieved by Leeta well over two hundred fifty years later, before leaving with Admiral Leeta while Boratus and Krog did everything they could to stop us from chasing after him.

Once they were defeated and we dealt with the forces that Leeta left on the station we returned to the Grampian to meet up with the USS Pastak, the USS Tempus and the USS Poh and assisted them in fighting back against the TLF forces as we pursued Noye and Leeta, however they were able to escape before we could catch up to them.
Daniels' death is a serious blow to the efforts against the TLF, although it isn't very Starfleet of me to say but he will be avenged.

Noye can't run forever and it will only be a matter of time before a major conflict between the Alliance and the TLF takes place at their target destination, Procyon V. We are on our way there now to help in the fight.

Log Ends.

The USS Grampian project has been on hold for over two weeks as my computer died on me, I'm hoping to have it sorted out soon with any luck and to get the next mission done as soon as possible. Strongly hoping to.

Mission 91: Future Proof Arc 6 – Ragnarök

We joined the Alliance fleet at Procyon V near to the Andor System as Noye and his TLF allies were working with the Sphere Builders in the 26th century to turn the entire sector into a wasteland with their spheres. With Daniels dead we were assigned to work with another temporal agent, Admiral Pavel Chekov from the 24th century who we had worked with before back in the 23rd century before the battle of Caleb IV.

Our first task was to punch through the TLF forces so that we could get the Tox Uthat to the Enterprise-J which was trying to destroy the command sphere in order to destroy the Sphere Builder's attempts to alter local space.
With the Alliance fleet at our side we punched through the TLF forces and thinned their forces in the process, Admiral Leeta arrived with her fleet and once we were able to beam down to the Enterprise we headed down with Admiral Chekov, to our surprise we were also joined by Captain Montgomery Scott from the late 23rd century, seems he had gotten his hands on a temporal transponder that Chekov had dropped in the 2260s when we were dealing with the attempts to derail the Babal conference.

We fought our way through Leeta's forces to a room just off Engineering, Chekov and Scotty focused on installing the Tox Uthat while myself and my team fended off Leeta's forces, she joined the fight and fled once we were able to defeat her.
Chekov and Scotty offered to stay on the Enterprise to oversee the Tox Uthat's installation and use so we returned to the Grampian to deal with the TLF forces and to buy time for the Tox Uthat to be ready for use.
It was a fierce fight but the Enterprise was soon able to destroy the command sphere which caused the affected local space to disperse back to normality. Leeta had fled once again once she saw that the fight was not going well for the TLF.

With the TLF weakened we went with the Alliance fleet in dealing with Noye and the Annorax which we beamed over to once it was disabled. We fought our way through the remaining TLF forces before facing off against Noye who put up quite the fight, eventually he was defeated and taken into custody and the Temporal Core taken offline, we had won after a very tough fight.

Scotty and Chekov were returned to their respective times and me and my crew were thanked for our help, our assignment is complete.
Whatever happens now is unknown as Daniels, who was saved from his death upon defeating Noye, didn't want to give us any spoilers on what lay ahead for us.

We'll face it as we always have, as Starfleet, as a crew, as a family. In a loose sense. T'Met has requested that we head to Risa so that I can take some time to relax and the crew can have some much earned R&R while the ship is in dry dock.

So off to Risa we go.

Maira will be attending Risa for the duration of the Summer event, I'm hoping I can complete it as I missed so much of the event due to my computer dying near a month ago and finally being brought back online today with a new graphics card installed. I may have to see if I can afford to get what I can to help me complete the event, it's going to be a drain on my budget as everything for the project is coming out of my pocket but I'll see what I can do.

Mission 92: New Frontier Arc 1 – Echoes Of Light

With our R&R over we have been asked to meet up with Kuumaarke at the Lukari system, she is eager to test out a new ship that her people have made. It will be nice to do some exploring after all the battles we've had.
We arrived at the Lukari system to find Kuumaarke in talks with a Ferengi DaiMon who turned out to our old 'friend' Madren. He was trying to open new trade deals with the Lukari while scamming them in the process. After a brief talk with him we contacted Kuumaarke who explained that it hadn't been easy for her people to head back out into the stars following their exodus from their form homeworld of Kentar which had been a dying world.

With recent events though then the Lukari have felt that maybe it's time to reach out to the stars again and assigned Kuumaarke as their representative to command their new ship, the L.S.S. Concordium.
Her maiden voyage was to a star called 20 Draconis b to do some exploration and the lukari wanted us to go along with her as an escort.

Madren left in a huff and we proceeded to 20 Draconis b to begin the Concordium's maiden voyage. First we scanned a large asteroid that Kuumaarke was curious about, once that was complete we proceeded farther into the system and came across a pod of Gekii, a spare faring species originally encountered by the Enterprise-D in the 2360s, an incident where the baby of one of it's species latched onto the Enterprise following the unintentional death of the mother by the Enterprise.
After modulating our power reading so not to come across as hostile to the Gekii we then tagged them for observation and moved on to Kuumaarke's next point of interest which was a bunch of comets.

We got some samples and readings of the comets before sending a probe to a nearby class A planet where we picked up indications of a lifeform near the planet, on investigation we discovered that it was a species originally encountered by the Enterprise-D in the near mid 2360s at the former Farpoint Station. We sent a greeting to them before moving on to the next point of interest.

We arrived at a planet that had no life of any kind yet was capable of sustaining life, on farther inspection we discovered readings of protomatter on the planet, the planet had been hit by a protomatter wave recently. We beamed down to investigate upon entering orbit.
On beaming down Kuumaarke noted indications of a pre-warp culture via carvings on the walls and in the remaining architecture, we arrived at a plaza where we figured out how to progress farther in after solving a simple puzzle placed within four columns and discovered some rather surprising murals within the temple, the Starfleet Emblem and a mural showing Starfleet officers from the 23rd century meeting with the former native inhabitants of the planet, we had to find the answers for this.
We opened another set of doors that led into ground zero for the protomatter wave and the only species know to have such technology, and use it, are the Tzenkethi, a species that has been pretty hostile towards the Federation in the past even leading to a war near a century ago.
Our investigation into what the Tzenkethi had come here for was cut short when the Grampian detected a derelict station in high orbit requiring us to beam up to investigate.

After beaming to the station we found that it was one of the older K-series stations from the 23rd century, Deep Space K-13. Myself, Tarsi and Skavin had been there before in the 23rd century when it had been in the Deneva system, we had met T'Met here before she joined the crew, an incident involving parasites and the Na'Kuhl which saw the station and her remaining crew, who we hadn't managed to evacuate in time, be drawn into a spatial anomaly which must have been a temporal vortex.
We needed answers as to when in the past the station had arrived and what had happened to surviving crew, we were contacted by Madren who claimed that he had taken the station as salvage with the intention on turning it into a business venture for tourists. I wasn't going to allow that though so we proceeded farther into the station dealing with Madren's Nausicaan guards along the way and gathering what information we could about the era the station had arrived in and what had happened to the crew.

We learned that the station had arrived in the late 16th century, they had placed the Klingon prisoners they had and most of the crew into stasis while some of the crew had gone down to the planet, introduced themselves to the native inhabitants and lived out the rest of their lives on the planet as far as possible from the native inhabitants.
On bringing auxiliary power online Madren fled the station but not before sending more of his friends against us, once they were out of the way we got one more entry from the main computer before returning to the ship where Madren and his friends attacked us. We dealt with them quickly and informed Command after leaving the system about K-13, Command will look into getting the station back up and running soon.

I never expected to come across K-13 again and to learn that the incident at Deneva hadn't been the destruction of the station as originally thought. It felt a little like coming full circle again, a strange feeling.
The surviving crew are in for quite the acclimation to this century while the records on the fate of K-13 will be amended.

What had originally been an escort mission has revealed some new questions though, what are the Tzenkethi up to, why did they kill all life on 20 Draconis b, or Draconis 3 as the crew of K-13 had named it upon arriving at the system near a thousand years ago. We have to find out what they are up to and stop them before more worlds are stripped clean of all life, yet the question is still there. Why are they doing it?

We'll find out the answers whatever it takes.

Log ends.

Mission 93: New Frontier Arc 2 – Of Signs And Portents

The Lukari had detected unusual activity in an unexplored region of the Alpha Quadrant close to their world, they believe that more protomatter weapons are being used. The Grampian and a Klingon ship have been tasked with helping the Lukari in their investigations and to determine just exactly what the Tzenkethi are doing.

On arrival to the Huranzi system we met with a General Rodek of the IKS Kor, he informed us that Kuumaarke was farther ahead on the LSS Reskava, a new Lukari ship, and went with us to meet up with her, after a quick talk we scanned the moons and central planet we were in range of. Our findings showed that there had been recent protomatter weapon use wiping out all life in the central planet, the moons had been attacked as well. Kuumaarke also believed that the planet we had scanned was her people's original homeworld, the Tzenkethi had killed her people's original homeworld of Kentar with this attack it seems.
With the scans complete we moved to another system to find evidence of a recent battle, we were able to locate survivours and rendered what aid we could. The planet they had come from however had been wiped clean of life by protomatter weapons.

We received a hail from the Lukari homeworld about energy readings in a nearby system, we proceeded there to come across the Tzenkethi who weren't happy to see us and tried to force us to leave. Once we dealt with an attack we beamed down to a planet that we detected protomatter explosives on, Rodek and Kuumaarke joined us.
We came under attack by the Tzenkethi shortly after beaming down and fought our way to a cave behind a waterfall where a Tzenkethi team were almost ready to set off the protomatter explosives. Kuumaarke focused on defusing the explosives while me, my team and Rodek covered her efforts.
She was successful in taking the explosives offline and disabling them from any farther use, we returned to our respective ships to deal with an attacking Tzenkethi force who we were able to force into retreating.

We got lucky in stopping them from wiping out life on that planet but we haven't been able to determine why they're doing it yet. We need to find out what their motives are soon.

With their protomatter weapons the Tzenkethi are a serious threat to many worlds, we can't let them keep using them.

Log ends.

Mission 94: New Frontier Arc 3 – Mirrors And Smoke

The Lukari have discovered an M class planet in the Gon'cra nebula, were been asked to meet up with Kuumaarke who was on her way to investigate as they've detected life there that is very much like that of the Lukari, they believed that they may have found a lost tribe of their people and believed to be hostile so we were sent as backup as a just in case measure.
We met with Kuumaarke on arrival to the nebula and after some scans learned that the planet was not only inhabited by a space faring culture but that they were Kentari, the original Lukari. We came under attack by some Kentari ships and were able to easily disable them, we were invited down to the planet to meet with their leaders after being contacted. Kuumaarke warned us to expect hostility and she was right, we weren't exactly made to feel welcome as we headed to the central government building in the city we beamed down to.
Their living conditions were deplorable with the air being toxic and the people suffering.

This part of the log explains the rift between the Kentari both within their own species and without in regards of the Lukari:

The Kentari had left their homeworld and migrated to this planet centuries ago and had formed two factions – The Kentari Reformists who were trying to change their culture for the better and ensure a better future for their people and the Kentari Traditionalists who were determined to to return to the old ways and keep their people suffering and angry in order to make their wealthy even richer while being hostile towards other races and especially the Lukari, seeing them as dangerous anarchists but with their planet's environment becoming a serious threat to life then the Reformist prime minster was willing to reach out to others for help before it got even worse much to the Trads, as they called themselves, disdain.
The Lukari had been exiled centuries ago in what they called The Great Exodus for not agreeing with the Kentari aggression and ideals, this would result in a rift between the two races.

After managing to speak to their leader, a Prime Minister Tuulemaan and Defence Minister Pentaaro, we were informed by the Grampian that the Tzenkethi had entered the system and were headed for a populated moon close by. We returned to our respective ships and helped the Kentari to try and force the Tzenkethi to leave.
However we were unable to prevent the Tzenkethi from using their protomatter bombs from wiping out life on the moon.

While were unable to save the people who had lived on the moon Kuumaarke was certain that she could restore the moon back to being life sustaining and able to restore food production for the surviving Kentari, however Pentaaro, who was a Trad, didn't trust her nor us and wasn't willing to let us help.
The Tzenkethi attacked as Kuumaarke tried to restore the moon, we dealt with them and Kuumaarke found that she couldn't restore the moon due to some cause on the planet. We beamed down with her and defended her from hostile Kentari Traditionalists as she looked into the problem.
Once she found the problem, it seemed to have been a Kentari cause, she was able to restore the moon and we returned to our respective ships only to find that Pentaaro wasn't willing to let us help the Kentari, we had no choice but to fight our way through their ships, disabling them as we did so.
Once Pentarro's forces were disabled we met with Tuulemaan on Kuumaarke's ship so that the steps towards helping the Kentari and improving relations between the Kentari and the Lukari can begin.

The Kentari's government structure was much like what Earth had in the past and how the ideals of the Conservatives of the past had almost destroyed Earth and all life on the planet as they had placed their greed and hatred of diversity as more important than the well being of the planet and it's life.
Sadly such attitudes tend to be a universal constant with those who believe themselves superior to others always having the loudest voice and the biggest stick which they use to oppress anyone and everyone who doesn't conform to their ideals and dreams of lording over others.
Such destructive mindsets always have a high cost, thankfully we've been able to help the Kentari from preventing it from getting any worse for their people.

The Tzenkethi are still a serious concern however and have to be stopped.

Log Ends.

Mission 95: New Frontier's Arc 4 – Brushfire

General Rodek requested our help in breaking someone out of a secure prison facility in the Briar Patch, from what we've been told he claims that the former Klingon High Chancellor, Chancellor Martok, is being detained there despite him having been supposedly killed by J'mpok almost twenty years prior. He had instead been taken prisoner and held in a prison run by Torg, a Klingon male born to the Duras sister Lursa and raised by Ja'rod, the head of the House Of Duras, following her death in 2371 shortly after he had been born, and guarded by Son'a and Klingon forces loyal to the House Of Duras.
Upon meeting up with the General our first task was to jam communications as we approached the planet and to deal with any isolated Son'a patrols as quickly as possible. Once we entered orbit of the planet where the prison was located we took a shuttle down and entered posing as prisoners with the General posing as our captor.

We arrived at Martok's location only to find ourselves under attack by the Tzenkethi who had come to take him away for execution leaving us with no choice but to break Martok out of jail sooner than expected, we quickly dispatched of the Tzenkethi who had attacked us and proceeded to disable systems while using the prison defences against the guards, we fought our way to the roof and took what we could from Torg's computer before destroying it and setting explosive charges with the intent on crippling the prison's systems in full as part of our escape.
Martok requested that we free another prisoner as well, a Jem'Hadar called First Kavat'kara. We freed him and he gratefully joined in our prison break attempt. We also freed other prisoners to keep the guards busy.
Once on the roof we came under attack from Klingon and Tzenkethi forces which we were able to defeat before returning to our respective ships once the shield generator preventing beamout was disabled, Torg was waiting for us in orbit however as were Son'a forces. Kavat'kara was sadly killed by a Tzenkethi captain before we could escape, Martok avenged his death.

Martok beamed over to Torg's ship with the intent on facing him in personal combat, he was successful and took command of Torg's ships after killing Torg. We held our ground against the joint attacking forces with forces loyal to Martok's wife, Sirella, and Ambassador Worf joining us in the fight.
It was a hard fought battle but we were eventually victorious. With Martok's thanks we were free to leave the Briar Patch with no farther problems.

From what I'm told Martok has shown no interest in taking back leadership of the Empire from J'mpok much to the High Council's relief, probably for the best I suppose as it could incite a civil war which isn't something the High Council is willing to encourage it seems.
I didn't expect to be taking part in a prison break, I'm glad it was successful.

Hopefully Martok will be a worthy ally against the Tzenkethi and their genocidal attacks.

Log Ends.

We were sent to meet up with the USS Challenger, a Galaxy class ship, at the Rotanev system, Captain Geordi LaForge in command, to investigate the last known location of the USS Madison, a Galaxy class ship, who had last reported coming across the USS Forrestal, an Ambassador class ship

On arrival to the system we met with the USS Challenger, Captain LaForge informed us that both ships were there but neither were responding to hails, we approached them and ran some scans only to come under attack by the Madison, after being hailed by her captain, which we quickly disabled and beamed over to. The USS Challenger was disabled by the Madison's attack however.
On beaming over myself, Captain LaForge and Commander T'Met, we had to override security via the holodeck and gain access to ship's systems bit by bit before we were contacted by a Commander T'Fai who was holed up with members of the crew in Ten Forward, we met with them to discuss any ideas. She informed us of how the Madison had encountered the Forrestal only to be disabled by a psionic attack that disabled their systems, crew from the Forrestal had then beamed over and began attacking the Madison's crew.
Some kind of lifeform had taken over the Forrestal and her crew and was now trying to do the same to the Madison. After T'Fai suggested taking the attack to the lifeform after our defence before beaming over had weakened the lifeform we came under attack from crew from the Forrestal, taking them down with heavy stun we proceeded to get to Main Engineering in the hopes of using the ship's security to render the Forrestal's crew unconcious while using psionic inhibitors to free any of the Forrestal crew we came across from the lifeform's control and keep ourselves from being controlled.

In Engineering we were able to restore the ship's systems and use it's security systems to detain as much of the Forrestal's crew as possible before heading to the bridge to face the lifeform which called itself Khaj'Buur as well as crew from the Madison and the Forrestal under it's control. We were able to force the being to flee the ship, it fled back to the Forrestal, and secured the bridge before returning to the Grampian to disable the Forrestal, LaForge stayed behind on the Madison to try and keep the ship together as most of her crew were unconscious as the ship wasn't in any shape to defend herself.

Khaj'Buur contacted us before attacking, they explained that they had been imprisoned in the Nexus by their people centuries ago and has used the Forrestal to escape, they refused to be imprisoned again and intended on using the ship to get revenge against those who had imprisoned them. After the brief talk we came under attack by the Forrestal and with the Challenger's help we were able to disable her before being contacted by Khaj'Buur again who surrendered to Starfleet custody.

Captain LaForge contacted us once Khaj'Buur was in custody, Command had been contacted and were on their way to render assistance to the Challenger, Madison and Forrestal and to take Khaj'Buur into full custody. With this done we left the system with no farther incident.

The Forrestal's crew are in for quite the acclimation to this time, hopefully it won't be too much of a shock to them. It's hard to say what will happen to Khaj'Buur, hopefully he won't be any farther bother to anyone.
As for us it's the usual case of onwards to whatever waits for us next.

Mission 97: New Frontier's Arc 6 – Melting Pot

We were asked to head to the Dranuur system to see a joint colony project between the Alliance, the Lukari and the Kentari, we were to meet with Kuumaarke and Captain LaForge there. Command felt that the Tzenkethi might show up as they were in the area.
Upon arriving to the system and meeting with Kuumaarke and Captain LaForge we did some scans of the system as it has very unusual properties, once the scans were complete we beamed down with Captain LaForge and Kuumaarke, Kuumaarke gave us a tour of the colony and the impressive work that has gone into it's construction.

We were taken to a research facility where the scientists there were examining some unusual crystals which to our surprise, just as the Tzenkethi entered the system and used a protomatter weapon on the colony's moon, turned out to be eggs with large insects swarming out and attacking.
We protected the captain and Kuumaarke as they tried to raise the colony's defences, the insects were quite a tough opponent to deal with but we were able to hold our ground against them before a Tzenkethi strike force led by a Captain Neth Parr arrived and to our surprise helped us against the insects.
After the threat was dealt with we returned to our respective ships to try and stop the Tzenkethi fleet from destroying the colony, with the help of Captain Parr who was able to stop the attack and take command after trying to explain to her commanding officer that there was no longer a threat on the planet we were successful.

That was a close call, we don't know much about the insects other than the name the Tzenkethi gave them, the Drantzuli, but I suspect we'll be seeing them again. Hopefully the Tzenkethi will halt their attacks but it's hard to say if their leadership will have the same understanding of when to hold back as Captain Parr did.
I can only hope.

Mission 98: New Frontier's Arc 7 – Scylla And Charybdis

With the threat of farther Tzenkethi attacks being likely we were placed on high alert to be ready to face off against the Tzenkethi quickly.
It didn't take long for the Tzenkethi to be detected and we arrived at the first spotted location just as they were firing their protomatter torpedoes, we quickly destroyed the torpedoes and dispatched of the attacking ships before giving chase of the ships that had left just as we had arrived.
At the next system Kuumaarke took up a position close to the planet the Tzenkethi were firing at so that she could destroy the torpedoes while we dealt with the ships. Once that was done we chased after the remaining ships to another ship where we again dealt with the Tzenkehi ships while General Martok dealt with the torpedoes.

However things heated up when the Tzenkethi entered the Bajorian system, DS9 was moved to protect the planet and we joined the defence fleet there as quickly as we could. The Tzenkethi threw a lot at us but we were able to hold the line and protect Bajor.
A Tzenkethi station arrived in the system during the fight and we did what we could to disable it long enough to beam down with General Martok, we were met by Captain Neth Parr who needed our help in stopping the Admiral in command of the station, and with their help we were able to fight our way to the command center and stop the admiral.

However a new threat showed itself, the Drantzuli had hatched and were on their way to the Bajorian system.
We returned to our respective ships and joined the defence force to hold the line against the Drantzuli, or the Hur'q as General Martok called them. They swarmed the system with DS9 being disabled in the attack, we were being overwhelmed. To our surprise the wormhole opened and a Dominion fleet came through, opening fire on the Hur'q and joining us in the fight forcing the Hur'q to retreat.
A Founder called Odo said he would explain the reasons for the help while Neth Parr surrendered herself into Alliance custody so that she could explain exactly where her people were doing.

Things have gotten rather unexpected now, DS9 is undergoing repairs, a Founder is offering to help us and the Tzenkethi have been stopped in their plans of mass genocide. I doubt this is the last we'll be seeing of the Hur'q either.
The Grampian will be staying in the area as I feel I might be asked to talk to Neth Parr soon.

Mission 99: New Frontier Arc 8 – The Renegade's Regret

I was informed that Captain Neth Parr was ready to talk so I headed back to Deep Space Nine to join the debriefing.
I met with Captain Neth Parr in the station's security station where she was being held in a cell awaiting questioning, after releasing her she talked about her reasons behind her defection, she explained three particular experiences that played a part in it.
I've added her mission logs and what she told me in this log.

~

Captain's Log, Mission Cycle 132. We have arrived at system 91, local designation Eohk. Admiral Tzen-Tarrak prepares to conduct Drantzuli cleansing operations. Our tactical reports indicate minimal threat from the locals. This should be another egg run.

~

Our orders were to locate any trace of Drantzuli eggs, we found them on the planet that the homeworld that the native people of the system, the Eohki, came from, we were ordered to ensure that there were no survivours and proceeded to destroy those fleeing the planet upon our arrival.
So many innocents were murdered before we used out protomatter weapons on the planet, we didn't know there were actually survivours until recently.
I regret the loss of lives deeply. This was my first mission as captain and one I feel great regret for.

~

Although I remained a loyal officer my feelings started to change on Draconis Three, I led a squad to the surface myself with the orders that we were to locate and destroy the Drantzuli eggs that had been detected on the surface.
The people there were quite primitive, not much development, they did not pose a threat to us as a whole as we tore through them. My team planted the device within a temple that the natives were protecting, they were actually worshipping the eggs which was surprising, we were also surprised to find Starfleet markings within the temple but we were not there to try and understand why they were there.
After my team had planted the device I went outside the temple to stand on over-watch so that they wouldn't be interrupted, however the temple doors sealed themselves behind me and I was unable to get back in.
The natives attacked as I was trying to find a way back in so I defended myself while buying my team time and hoping to think of a way to get them out as transporters couldn't lock on. I was ordered to leave them behind which I had no choice but to do so reluctantly, they died following orders and many more innocents died when my team did after the protomatter device did it's work.

So much death for a mad plan of genocide.

~

At the Atosee system I saw once again the madness of those orders and plans. No evacuation plans were even considered for the people we were murdering, our orders were to simply find all trace of the Drantzuli and wipe it out no matter how many lives had to be sacrificed.
At the Atosee system we found eggs on one of the moons which the native population had placed there for us to destroy but the Autarch and the Admiral demanded that we destroy the central planet of Atosee Prime as well as traces were also detected there. An entire civilisation was wiped out as they begged for mercy and I could do nothing to prevent it.
I saw that the path the Autarch and the Admiral had us on was one of madness and destruction with no remorse. I could not continue to stand by and let this happen. I had to defect as soon as the chance presented itself, I must walk the path of atonement for the reminder of my life.

I can only hope that this insane crusade can be stopped before more innocents are murdered.

~

With this report sent to Command the USS Grampian will await farther orders, the Tzenkethi must be stopped from this brutal path and we need to defend ourselves against any father Hur'q attacks which are likely to happen soon.
So many lives murdered, so many civilisations destroyed. This can't be allowed to continue.

Mission 100: Gamma Quadrant 1 – Storm Clouds Gather

We were requested to attend a summit being held at Deep Space Nine to discuss the Tzenkethi crusade against the Hur'q and the threat that the Hur'q presents.
On returning to DS9 and our docking at DS9, I headed to Ops where I was asked to meet with Captain Nog who was getting the summit ready to start, he asked me to meet with the other delegates and leaders of each race attending the summit and talking to many of the attendees and some refugees fleeing Hur'q attacks in the Gamma Quadrant that are decimating the Dominion, once this was complete the summit began.
The summit, however, was interrupted by an attack from the Hur'q who boarded the station after swarming out of the wormhole. I went with my team to Hanger Control first before heading to Ore Processing to secure the area, the Hur'q fairly gave us quite the fight as we tried to restore safety systems. The Hur'q eventually ceased their attack within the station and we returned to the Grampian to aid the fleet in pushing aback against the attacking Hur'q fleet while defending civilian ships in the area.

It was quite the fight and the Hur'q were relentless, with effort and luck the Hur'q fleet was weakened enough to force them to retreat through the wormhole. As soon as we've finished with repairs we'll be joining the fleet who headed through the wormhole after them, it's looking to be a rough conflict as the Hur'q are fairly skilled at overwhelming tactics due to their greater numbers.

Whatever comes next we'll face it as always.
