Mission 101: Gamma Quadrant 2 – Armistice
Kai Kira requested our help in locating a former Kai called Opaka who has been trapped on a prison moon in the Gamma Quadrant since 2369, she wanted our help in rescuing her and any remaining prisoners who may be there before the Hur'q got to them.
Upon arriving in the system we were able to confuse the satellites in orbit of the moon before beaming down with the Kai and Doctor Julian Bashir, both of them had last been to the moon in 2369. The remains of the crashed runabout from that experience were still on the surface though stripped clean.
We proceeded into a nearby cave where we came across Hur'q which had arrived before us due to the satellites, we dealt with them quickly and found ourselves being aided by the moon's prisoners, the Ennis and Nol-Ennis aiding us as we neared their location. Interestingly the nanites that were keeping the people on the moon from dying in full wasn't restoring the Hur'q to life.
A Golin Shel-la greeted us and allowed us to meet with Opaka, who had known we were coming in a vision, who informed us that peace had been found between the two factions with the aid of the Orb Of Peace. The doctor informed her that a cure for the nanites that were preventing people on the moon from dying was found and she approved the distribution of the cure.
The Hur'q attacked just as the last of the cure was distributed, Golin was killed in the attack. We went out ahead to clear a path for the survivours and once that was done we set up transport enhancers and beamed the survivours up to the Grampian along with ourselves.
In orbit we came under attack from the Hur'q again, we took advantage of a brief break in the fighting to program the satellites to attack only the Hur'q just as more of them arrived. It was a fierce fight but with luck and the aid of the satellites and eventually a little help from allies we were able to stand our ground.
After the Hur'q were forced to retreat we returned to DS9 with both Kai's before returning to the Gamma Quadrant.
It was good to see that the two factions had found peace though so few survived by the time we had helped them, Kai Opaka has returned to her duties as Kai of Bajor and Kai Kira looks to be joining the Alliance as an officer. The Hur'q are still out there so the fight is far from over.
Log Ends.

Mission 102: Gamma Quadrant 3 – The Search
We rendezvoused with an Alliance task force, a small Dominion task force commanded by Odo and a small Cardassian task force commanded by Councillor Garak to deal with the Hur'q threat, our first port of call was to the Dosi system.
We arrived at the Dosi system to find the Hur'q attacking a Dominion station and the small Dominion fleet commanded by Odo, we rendered aid in deal with the Hur'q and once they were out of the way it was determined that the station had been abandoned for quite a while. We then received a Ferengi distress call from the Karemma system.
On arrivel there we were met with a Dominion fleet commanded by a female changling, Odo insisted with her to let us pass though she was reluctant to allow any aid given to the Karemma. We quickly dealt with the attacking Hur'q which allowed the fleeing Karemma to leave the system with no farther issues.
We beamed down to the planet and fought our way through the Hur'q, while rescuing some Karemmans along the way, before coming across the person who sent the distress call, Quark, who had contacted us in orbit. He had been asked, well paid, to retrieve a device from Karemma. With no farther threat from the Hur'q in the area we beamed up with Garak and Kira to confront Odo about the device.
It turned out that Odo had arranged to have such a device planted on Bajor in order to lure the Hur'q there, not to harm the Bajorians but to try and get the attention of the Alliance in order to ask them for help against the Hur'q as the Dominion is being overwhelmed by them.
Kira was furious about this and slapped him which was quite the surprise.
We returned to the Grampian as it was clear that we were in the way with a matter that needed to be resolved by everyone else there.
Odo's actions were risky, while I understand why he felt it best to do them it did place Bajor and it's people in danger. The matter of the Hur'q attacking the Dominion as they are still stands though, their attack is strong and fairly weakening the Dominion.
There's a motive here that still has to be discovered, it might be at some point soon hopefully.

Mission 103: Gamma Quadrant 4 – Doomed To Repeat
Councillor Garak contacted us with information that Odo had found something in the Masan system, he asked us to meet him, Kira and Odo there to determine exactly what Odo had found.
When we arrived in the system we were met with some Dominion ships commanded by the female Founder who demanded that we leave the system, they opened fire as we approached and were forced to retreat when the task force arrived. We beamed down to a station, Garak staying with his forces, that the female Founder's forces had been determined to protect and proceeded to explore it.
We came across information from archival records about the creation of the Jem'Hadar, the Vorta and the Hur'q, the Hur'q had been changed by the Founders centuries ago to be an army by altering their genetics, this had failed though and the Hur'q were made to hibernate before they could cause any farther damage, the Jem'Hadar were created some time later.
We progressed farther in and came across another of the Dominion's attempts at creating an army, genetically altered Klingons who had been turned into an almost spectral like army called the Fek'Ihri. They were inspired by Klingon mythology due to the Dominion being fascinated by the Klingons centuries ago, their reach and understanding of other species is clearly greater and older than originally known.
This failed as well and the Fek'Ihri turned to working with a Klingon called Molor who was defeated by Kahless around one thousand, five hundred years ago. Afterwards the Fek'Ihri became part of the Klingon underworld of Gre'thor and under the thrall of Fek'Ihr.
We came under attack by the Fek'Ihri who were close to overwhelming us until Odo arrived with his Jem'Hadar forces. We attempted to return to the beam out point only to be attacked by the Hur'q who were also fighting the Fek'Ihri, something odd happened however when one of the Hur'q was exposed to ketracel white, it tried to communicate only to be killed by Weyoun.
We had no time to talk about what had happened as the rest of the Fek'Ihri were coming out of stasis so we fought our way to the beam out point just as the Fek'Ihri attacked the task force in ships of their own.
We were able to hold our own until more Hur'q ships arrived which force the Fek'Ihri to retreat. We couldn't continue to fight though so we had no choice but to retreat.
What we discovered at the Dominion station could well explain why the Hur'q are attacking the Dominion, it's hard to say when we'll see the Fek'Ihri again as they disappeared after retreating. The Founders have literally been playing God and now one of their creations is retaliating.
We have to find a way to end this conflict before it spreads as the Hur'q are clearly reacting as if in a frenzy. There has to be some way to calm them down.
We'll find it, hopefully.
Log ends.

Mission 104: Gamma Quadrant 5 – Quark's Lucky Seven
Captain Nog asked us to return to DS9, he had a favour to ask of us and it involved his uncle Quark. Upon arriving at Quark's bar he told me of a plan he had to bring the Klingons into the war with the Hur'q as they've been avoiding getting involved which is surprising considering that it's the kind of fight you would be expecting to see the Klingons get into with gusto.
A few days ago before I was asked to return to the station Rom had managed to get information from DS9's security office concerning the Iconians and their location, as T'Ket had taken The Sword Of Kahless after the clone of Kahless was killed during the recent war with the Iconians.
Leeta had distracted the chief of security while Rom got the information. With this information in hand Quark was able to gather a team of other Ferengi – Himself, Nog, Leck who's an assassin for hire and Brunt to discuss a plan on how to get onto T'Ket's flagship and steal back the sword.
This is where my ship comes in, they wanted us to be their escort and to take them to the Iconian's location. This required the use of a cloak which Quark was able to get his hands on.
On arriving at the location and finding the Iconians were in conflict with the Fek'Ihri we proceeded to take a position behind the flagship so that Quark and his team could take a shuttle over to it. From what I was told afterwards it was quite the mission. We had detected weapons fire, explosions and high energy readings while waiting.
From what I was told the team had split up to do their assigned roles for the mission, Quark and Nog beamed to Engineering to disable Security which gave Leck the chance to set off various system failures and explosions to keep the Iconian's distracted, Brunt scouted for the sword and any guards.
Leck was successful in his task as were Quark and Nog with theirs, Brunt not so much.
Quark and Nog were able to locate the sword and take it only to be confronted by Brunt who stole it from them. T'Ket appeared and surprisingly Quark was able to talk them into letting them go unharmed by appealing to their need to focus on the Fek'Ihri attack instead of wasting time with two Ferengi plus that he had placed a Hur'q signalling device on the ship, they arrived just as he said that which made it hard for him to turn it off as he had agreed to if they were let go.
After his team returned to the ship, minus Brunt who had beamed away to a hidden ship, we proceeded to leave the system but the cloak began to have issues which required quick repairs as we did our best to fend off attacking Iconian, Hur'q and Fek'Ihri ships.
Once the cloak was online we left the system without any farther issues and returned to DS9.
Upon returning to DS9 Quark explained that he had expected Brunt to betray them so had hired Madran to stop him from escaping with the sword, Madran had agreed to doing this in order to gain favour with Rom, the Grand Nagus.
With the sword now at the station Dr. Bashir was able to study it and learned that it was made out of a four thousand year old Hur'q carapace and cross referencing it's radiation patterns to star charts that point at a probable Hur'q homeworld, a system called Havas-Kul. Leck then stole the sword which annoyed Rom, however this was a ploy to fool the alliance and the sword was returned to Quark and Rom who presented it to Quark's ex-wife, for a profit of course, a Klingon woman called Grilka who presented it to Martok.
Quite the mission log I suppose with some twists and turns and what looks to be a possible solution to the war with the Hur'q. Hopefully whatever we find there may be of help.

Mission 105: Gamma Quadrant 6 – Tenebris Torquent
With Dr. Bashir's findings from his study of The Sword Of Kahless we proceeded to Havas-Kul to meet with Garak, Kira and Odo.
As we arrived in the system we ran some scans of the system to find the central planet abandoned but with significant subterranean development and technology. As the atmosphere wasn't breathable we beamed down with a research team in EVA suits to study what we could.
However we quickly came under attack by a single large Hur'q which led to a collapse of the cavern floor and the team being separated.
I found myself alone and thankfully able to contact Kira who helped me to find my way out of the area I was in and to a series of tunnels that had low gravity, I was chased by that single large Hur'q before reaching those tunnels. I learned more about the Hur'q while finding my way through the tunnels.
Once out of the tunnels I was able to meet up with a member of my crew as well as Dr. Bashir, Garak, Kira and survivours from the team. I headed out to locate the rest of my crew and the team while collecting any information I could find for the Doctor to study and fending off against the large Hur'q that kept cloaking itself and running away when exposed to anti-gravity, it seemed mutated compared to other Hur'q we've found. He learned that a fungus on the planet was a precursor to ketracel white and the Founders had removed and/or destroyed a considerable amount of it in order to bring the Hur'q under their control.
This was confirmed by the female Founder beaming down, in disguise as the Tzenkethi admiral we had dealt with before, with Weyoun, Loriss and some Jem'Hadar guards, she told us everything. She then ordered her guards to kill all of us after Odo, who had been hiding as a piece of equipment, revealed himself while Garak informed her that he had used a Hur'q signalling device to call the Hur'q not only to the planet but also to the Dominion world of Empursa where the Founders are located.
Before the guards could carry out their orders though the mutated Hur'q that had been attacking, killing off members of the team and disappearing, appeared and killed the female Founder. We were left with no choice but to deal with the creature which, once defeated, turned out to be a heavily mutated Hur'q created by the Founders a long time ago.
Weyoun attempted to kill all of us in his grief over the female Founder's death but was stopped by one of the Jem'Hadar guards who refused to kill a Founder, Odo, and taken into custody.
We returned to our respective ships and headed for Empursa after fending off against a Hur'q fleet that had arrived in orbit to do what we can to protect the Founders from their own hubris.
Hopefully we can find some way to stop the Hur'q before they are able to kill the Founders.

Mission 106: Gamma Quadrant 7 – Home
The Hur'q were on their way to the Founder's current home world of Empursa, we rendezvoused with the taskforce to do what we could to stop the Hur'q.
We engaged with the Hur'q once we arrived in the system, the fighting was quite fierce but we were able to force the Hur'q to briefly retreat which gave us time for a breather while Kira suggested that we should attempt to board a Hur'q ship as Dr. Bashir had an idea that could help with stopping the Hur'q attack.
A dreadnought arrived just as Kira suggested that so we focused on disabling it before beaming over with some Jem'Hadar, Loriss and Dr. Bashir. We fought our way through the ship to it's control centre where we protected Loriss and the doctor as they worked.
Once the doctor and Loriss were ready to attempt the doctor's plan, although Weyoun made that impossible when he arrived and destroyed the cure to the Hur'q's rage before he was killed by one of Odo's guards, a Jem'Hadar called Dukan'Rex who had previously been found on DS9 as an infant in the 2370s before Odo had felt it best for him to be returned to the Dominion to save him from being experimented on by Starfleet, I was informed that more Hur'q ships were arriving.
While the doctor and Loriss looked into another way to cure the Hur'q of their rage I returned to the Grampian with my team where we helped Odo fend off the attacking Hur'q ships just as Quark and Rom arrived with the Klingons, Martok in command with Worf as his torchbearer and the Sword Of Kahless in their possession.
Eventually the Hur'q attack dwindled and we beamed down with Odo, Kira and the Klingons to help in the ground defence on the surface. We did what we could to protect as many Founders as possible before making it to the Great Link where we held our ground against the Hur'q forces.
However we were being overrun and the battle looked to be lost until the Hur'q just stopped their attack, something had happened in the Hur'q ship we had disabled. A Hur'q beamed down with the body of one of Odo's guards, a Jem'Hadar named Dukan'Rex who had sacrificed his life by introducing his own kectracel white into the Hur'q collective consciousness which resulted in the Hur'q frenzied rage being calmed.
His sacrifice brought an end to the conflict with them, they withdrew from fighting and left to seek a new home.
With the conflict over we returned to DS9 where the doctor learned that Dukan'Rex's sacrifice had also removed the Jem'Hadar's dependence on the white, this will change a lot within the Dominion as this means that the Jem'Hadar are free to find their own path in life.
Whatever the future brings for the Dominion will certainly be interesting. Cardassia has also been offered a place in the Alliance which they have accepted.
While there are still some rogue Hur'q swarms the majority of the Hur'q are more focused on living in peace than in another conflict.
Once the celebrations were finished I returned to the Grampian, whatever awaits us next we'll be ready to face it.
Log Ends.

Mission 107: Age Of Discovery 1 – The Plausibility Of The Possible
A Klingon ship from the 2250s has appeared in the 25th century, it looks to have come from the time when the Federation and the Klingons were at war. As I was pretty young at the time then I only remember the news from that time and what I learned in the Academy after the war had ended.
A Klingon woman named J'Ula commands it and is regarded as extremely dangerous, the Grampian has been asked by Starfleet Command to take part in a series of historical simulations set during that war.
We were to learn about J'Ula and how best to deal with the threat she poses. I was to play the role of an officer who's captain had been murdered by J'Ula during the war.
As the simulation took place in the Priors system then once we arrived the simulation began once we ready upon arrival.
We began by assisting the USS Shinano and the USS Cicada with delivering supplies before rendezvousing with the USS Buran, I beamed over to meet with holographic simulations of officers Lieutenant Commander Amna Patel, Commander Ellen Landry, who the tactical hologram on the Grampian is based on, and Captain Gabriel Lorca. After some brief introductions and being filled in on how the battle with retaking Priors World had gone the Klingons they had in custody, I was taken to see a Specialist Kerwin who accepted my help in bringing the ship's systems back online following the successful campaign to retake the system from the Klingons, that battle is another simulation.
We soon found out though that the Klingons had managed to upload a computer virus into the ship's systems which locked out much of the ship's systems allowing the Klingon prisoners to escape custody as more Klingons arrived in the system to aid their escape.
Kerwin and his team focused on purging the virus while I went with Landry and Lorca to deal with the Klingons and recapture the escaped Klingons.
We were able to capture them before they could escape and load them onto a shuttle to be taken to the Grampian first before being taken to a Federation prison asteroid, Facility 2047, a precursor to the more advanced Facility 4028 which the Grampian has been to before during the conflict with the Jem'Hadar from the 2370s.
Before we could leave though, once back to the Grampian, the Klingons had to be dealt with first. Once they were out of the way we proceeded to the next part of the simulation, Facility 2047. There we handed the prisoners over to be processed for detainment, after shuttling over, while Warden Hadrian Vosker, who the Warden at Facility 4028 is a holographic simulation of, felt it best if me, my team and, Kerwin, Patel and Landry escorted him with taking Aakar, a prominent Klingon of the House Mo'Kai, to his cell.
However, as expected honestly, Aakar didn't make it to his cell as the Klingons attacked the facility with the goal of rescuing Aakar. He was beamed away by whoever had arrived to rescue him while we had to escort him back to Prisoner Processing, J'Ula arrived to rescue Aakar while beaming down Klingons and uploading the virus to the facility's systems to keep the guards busy.
We fought our way through the Klingons to Shield Control where the Warden worked as quickly as he could to raise the facility shields while we dealt with the arrival of more Klingons, once the shields were back up we took the shuttle back to the Grampian and faced off against the Klingons the facility's defences until Kerwin was able to purge the virus and bring the defences back to facility control which forced the Klingons to retreat once they realised that they were outgunned.
With the Klingons gone we were able to beam Kerwin back to the Grampian on the Warden's approval and left the system, we had to return to Priors World which is the next simulation.
J'Ula seems to be a cunning opponent so far and Aakar comes across as a very dangerous threat, I can see any future run-ins with them being quite the challenge.
Log End.

Mission 108: Age Of Discovery – Impossibility Of Reason
We were to return to Priors system to do the next part of the simulation as part of our learning about the threat that J'Ula and Aakar could be to not just the Federation but many others as well. The more we can understand about them the better.
The simulation started on our return to the system, we received a distress call from the USS Buran which was under attack by Klingons. We did our best to try and reach them but the Buran was destroyed while the Klingons slowed us down and prevented us from being able to help.
We retrieved the only escape pod that was left, only two crew members had survived, Captain Lorca and an Andorian male called Th'Pev.
Captain Lorca's injuries required medical aid from a nearby starbase or Starfleet Medical so a shuttle was used to take him there while the ship was to keep an eye out for any farther Klingon incursions and an ion storm was making it hard to use warp drive.
We didn't get far though as the shuttle crashed on an ice planet when a Klingon ship attacked us not far from the Grampian just as we were leaving an ion storm, once we got supplies from what remained of the shuttle and Captain Lorca and Kerwin were beamed to a safer location nearby, a secure enough cave, we headed out to find any remaining pieces from the shuttle and salvage what we could while making our way to where Lorca and Kerwin had been beamed to and dealing with any local wildlife.
Once we reached the cave where Lorca and Kerwin were beamed to we discussed what to do next while setting up camp, we decided to gather what we could from a nearby fumarole patch for any additional materials for survival, a geothermal hotspot where hot water pushed up from the ground caused heated mud pools that was hot enough to cause serious harm.
We gathered what we needed and returned to the cave, Kerwin being able to use it to boost the strength of the retrieved transmitter from the shuttle to call for help, while also being able to make explosives in case they were needed. After installing the makeshift explosives at the mouth of the cave we settled down for another night at the cave, the next morning though we were found by the Klingons who detected the distress signal that Kerwin sent out in the hopes of a Starfleet ship detecting it first, we had no choice but to face the Klingons head on and do what we could to make sure they couldn't reach the cave.
Our first plan of attack was to ambush them at the fumarole patch, using the patch and a defensive position gave us the chance to pinch the Klingons into an awkward position, sadly however Kerwin was killed in the battle. We had to make our way back to the cave but the Klingons were hot on our trail so Th'Pev stood his ground to buy us some time, the Klingons killing him in the process.
We returned to the cave and did all we could to hold our ground but we were being overrun, Kerwin's short range signal that he had made to set off the explosives wasn't possible as he had the remote detonator with him when he died so Patel set them off manually, dying in the process.
We were able to melt the back wall of the cave which was solid ice and make our way to the other end of the cave, we were thankfully retrieved by a Starfleet ship which had sent a shuttle down before the Klingons could come after us.
From what I've learned about Lorca and Landry they were assigned to the USS Discovery, a ship that was lost with all hands in the 2250s. Lorca was her captain for a time and Landry died after an incident with a lifeform called a Tardigrade which had been used as part of an experiment into a form of interstellar travel which has since been outlawed according to Starfleet records.
Landry was loyal to Lorca to the end though Lorca wasn't exactly the Lorca that people had expected him to be.
The next simulation will be ready soon, we are to head to our next destination to begin it.

Mission 109: Age Of Discovery – Secrets
Our next simulation was at the Delta Volanis science station, we were to assist them in a new simulation.
The simulation began when we arrived at the station, we started with responding to a distress call from the station in the 2250s which had come under attack by Klingons. They needed help with repairs to their arrays so we worked quickly before more Klingons arrived, we held our own as much as possible until a Starfleet ship arrived to render assistance, the USS Glenn, a Crossfield class.
With their help we were able to push back against the Klingons but the Glenn was disabled in battle and boarded. As soon as we were able to I beamed over to the USS Glenn with my team to help deal with the Klingons.
We fought our way through their forces before we were able to check in with the ship's captain,a Captain Underwood. One of his officers, a human man called Straal, came with us to Engineering after we helped with repairs on the bridge. We fought our way to engineering and encountered J'Ula who was after something on the ship. We were able to force her to retreat while defending Straal who tried to stop her from stealing whatever it was she was after and we chased after her to the shuttlebay where she stole a shuttle.
On the way there I had a brief encounter with a lifeform called a Tardigrade, it was quite large and vicious and had been tearing through the Klingon forces, it almost got me until Strall was able to beam it back into containment which it had escaped from during the fight with J'Ula.
With the ship now cleared of Klingons we returned to the Grampian to deal with more Klingons and to track J'Ula who had returned to her ship. We defended the Glenn as they assisted us and Straal attempted to find J'Ula's location, as the shuttle couldn't have gone far so quickly, as much as possible until her ship was found.
Before we could try to retrieve the weapon from J'Ula she left the system at warp, we couldn't leave the Glenn defenceless so we were unable to chase after her.
Once the remaining Klingons left after J'Ula had warped out the simulation ended.
Whatever J'Ula had stolen in that time must have been of considerable importance to her, we have one more simulation to do so we may find out exactly what she stole which may help us to know the threat she holds in this century.
Her attack on the Glenn was a precision strike as she knew exactly what she was looking for, though the Glenn and her crew are all long gone I am curious on just exactly what they had been working on which had caught J'Ula's attention.
I guess we'll find out soon.
Log Ends.

Mission 110: Age Of Discovery – Downfall
Our final simulation looks into the battle of Starbase One, in the 2250s it had been a major tactical asset which had almost seen the defeat of the Federation in the war with the Klingons in that time after it had been seized by the Klingons.
We are to re-enact the battle and learn how J'Ula had arrived in the 25th century. Whatever J'Ula stole we will very likely find out in this simulation.
The simulation started after we arrived and signalled we were ready to begin, our first task was to deal with some Klingon scavengers before beaming survivours off four crippled Starfleet ships, the USS Churchill, USS Cardiff, USS Vancouver and USS Macedonia. We dealt with any Klingons waiting behind their cloaks to ambush anyone who got close, we scuttled the crippled Starfleet ships as ordered afterwards.
We headed to the starbase to over supplies and the survivours as the USS Ticonderoga, Nimtz class, and the USS Sebrova, Shepard class, joined us in defending the station and the docked Eagle class ships – USS Andor, USS Roosevelt, USS Lafayette and USS Decatur – to be ready to leave the system once all of the civilians and any officers had boarded them.
The Klingons arrived before the aforementioned ships were ready so with the help of the Ticonderoga and the Sebrova we held the line against the Klingons so to buy time for the evacuation ships.
The Klingons were relentless but we were able to buy the evacuation ships the time they needed to get everyone on board and to leave the system. J'Ula arrived just as the last evacuation ship warped out of the system, more Klingon ships also arrived which the other defending ships did their best to deal with while we faced J'Ula's ship.
We were caught in a tractor beam however leaving us unable to stop her from using the weapon she had stolen from the Glenn, the simulation ended with our destruction according to simulation records of the battle.
The use of this weapon looks to have been the cause of J'Ula's arrival in the 25th century, if there had been a Starfleet ship in the same situation as ourselves in that battle then it's possible they were sent to the 25th century as well.
According to Starfleet records and records from the Klingon Empire that we were briefed on after the simulation ended, House Mo'Kai was destroyed in 2389 following a century long blood feud so J'Ula will likely be looking for allies and some way to rebuild House Mo'Kai, Akaar, being the grandfather of former Chancellor Gowen, would likely be her biggest ally in doing that.
This news and the weapon she has will very likely make her a serious threat in this time, we could be in for a very tough fight ahead.
We'll face it as best we can.
Log Ends.

Mission 111: J'Ula's Discovery - Para Pacem
We were tasked with checking in on a Vulcan research team stationed at the Pavho system who hadn't been responding to routine communications, the leader of the team, a man called Somat, met with us to ask for assistance in checking in on them.
We arrived in the Pavho system where we began scanning the system for anything unusual, the ion storm that was hitting the system at the time made it hard to get clear scans so we proceeded farther within while reactivating an old navigation buoy to ensure a fixed point as we worked.
We came across a spatial anomaly, which upon being scanned, resulted in a Starfleet ship appearing. Well we thought it was a Starfleet ship at first and it kind of was and wasn't, the ship was the ISS Discovery, a Terran Empire ship from the mirror universe. Somehow it had been sent over 150 years into the future and into our universe.
It came under attack from Klingons of the same universe it had come from so we decided to fight off the Klingons and render assistance to the Discovery, once the Klingons retreated we were contacted by a Captain Tilly who asked if we could beam over to lend a hand against both mutineers and Klingon boarding parties.
Despite our concerns on doing this, given what we know about the Terran Empire, I beamed over with a team to render aid. We were greeted by some Terran Starfleet officers who attempted to kill us, as expected, and we fought our way to the brig where we came across their version of Chief Amna Patel being held in an agony booth.
We helped her out of it before fending off against more of her crewmates as she worked on securing Security systems. When she was finished we headed for Engineering after Captain Tilly asked us to deal with the mutineers and Klingons there, once Engineering was secured we made our way to the bridge where we assisted the captain with fending off more Klingons.
Once the bridge was secured we returned to the Grampian to fight off more Klingons who were determined to destroy the Discovery, as we were fighting we learned from their Chief Patel that Captain Tilly had beamed down to the planet, leaving her in command of Discovery. Just as the Klingons were fought off however we picked up a strong energy reading from the planet and an intensely strong beam of energy impacted the ship and the Klingons disabling us and them.
We had no choice but to leave the system before it happened again, whatever Captain Tilly had found on Pahvo she was more than willing to use it again. We need to come up with a way of getting to the planet safely and stopping her from using Pahvo as a weapon again somehow.

Mission 112: J'Ula's Discovery – Illusion Of Communication
We were tasked with returning to Pahvo to stop Captain Tilly in her plans, she had to be stopped.
On returning to the system we found that the ISS Discovery and Captain Tilly had been attempting to open portals to their universe in order to bring ships through with bad results, we rescued what survivours we could while dealing with any Klingons who didn't take kindly to our rescue efforts.
We beamed down to the planet once we entered orbit and tended to the Vulcan researchers who thankfully hadn't been killed by Tilly's forces. We found that a series of agonizers had been set up around crystal formations, we shut down each one we came across while using uncorrupted crystals to restore the harmonics back to their previous resonance, we also learned that the effect the agonizers had on the planet were also affecting the Vulcan researchers who became frenzied, we had no choice but to stun them and beam up to the ship for treatment, Somat stayed behind so we kept an eye on him while pushing forward to Tilly's location.
Thankfully T'Met wasn't affected, it seems the effect was because the research team had been on the planet for a longer time than my officer was.
We found her at a larger crystal formation, almost like a large crystalline root, installing more agonizers. We disabled each one while dealing with her and her forces, we eventually forced her to retreat and shut down the last of the agonizers before returning to the ship. She had somehow managed to use the crystal spire as a long range transporter which means she could be anywhere in the quadrant.
With Tilly forced to retreat but not back to the Discovery we were left with disabling the said ship and returning them to the mirror universe, the Klingons were more interested in destroying the Discovery though and attempted to hinder our efforts. We were successful in sending both the Discovery and the Klingons back to the mirror universe despite their efforts however, the ion storm cleared up as well from our efforts.
Once we were satisfied that there would be no more trouble from the Terrans and the Klingons we left the system and informed Command that Pahvo would need to be checked in on in case any farther attempts were made to weaponise the planet.
Wherever Captain Tilly retreated to I'm sure we'll see her again soon, she doesn't seem the type to back down from a fight easily.

Mission 113: J'Ula's Discovery – Beneath The Skin
We received a call for help from the Andoria system, J'Ula had launched an attack with her forces, we raced there as quickly as possible to confront her.
On arrival we aided in the push back against the Mo'Kai forces, all of which had been upgraded since J'Ula's arrival in the 25th century. We were successful in forcing J'Ula to retreat when she joined the battle but she used her weapon just before she left which opened a spatial rift close to Andoria, firing probes into it before jumping to warp.
We needed to find a way to seal the rift safely before it endangered the planet, the captain of the Hoffman, Captain Sh'marioa, invited me over to their ship to discuss plans on how to do this and I accepted the offer after Kumaarke sanned the rift to find that it hard readings akin to fungi.
On the Hoffman the captain called up a hologram of an expert on astromycology as research into finding such an expert was scarce with some particular files from the mid 23rd century being highly classified at the highest level. As I had access to the files I was able to upload the personality profile and data to the holodeck on the Hoffman which gave us a former Starfleet officer called Stamets who was listed as missing in action since the 2350s after the USS Discovery had been lost in action with all hands and much of the information on the Discovery being classified for whatever reason.
Stamets was rather blunt to put it mildly but we were able to get a basic idea on what the probes that J'Ula had fired were doing within the rift, the rift itself leading into a kind of quantum realm and a mycelial network which explained the fungi readings that Kumaarke had gotten from her scans. The probes were emitting a form of radiation common to 23rd century Klingon technology so it was felt best for an away team to head into the rift along with the hologram of Stamets, who was given a mobile emitters, in order to investigate and learn more about what was happening in the network due to the probes.
We arrived in the mycelial network which was quite beautiful and began collecting samples, as we were working we were joined by a familiar face created by the network as a representative, it appeared to us in the form of Amna Patel, and asked for our help in dealing with the probes that J'Ula had launched into the network as they were causing harm to the network.
We agreed to help and proceeded farther into the network while taking some fluid samples and scans of young tardigrade before we came across a device that was found to be Elachi tech, the other Patel explained that the Elachi were part of the realm and worked to look after it. We came under attack by the Elachi just as 'Patel' told us that, it seems the corruption caused by the Klingon probes had also affected the Elachi, made them hostile.
We also found that the Elachi had been trying to find a defence against incursions into the network from J'Ula but the corrupting effects from J'Ula's actions slowed their research.
Moving farther in we found that the corruption had spread and affected any farther progress, 'Patel' informed us that we would need the living Stamets to help us navigate around the network as he had managed to once get Discovery home from another universe which had left an imprint of his memories and personality within the network's neural network which we found was within the fluid samples we had taken.
Using more of the fluid and some fungus samples we were able to merge the living Stamets' memories and experiences with the hologram Stamets which basically brought him back to life in a sense. With his newfound return to the living, of sorts as he is still a hologram, he was able to help us progress farther into the network.
We found the probes and worked on disabling them while defending ourselves against the corrupted Elachi with the aid of a tardigrade that we were able to lure over to the probes to help with removing the corrupted growth so I could access the systems to shut them down. Once the probes were shut down and the corrupted Elachi dealt with we were approached by uncorrupted Elachi who thanked us for our help and informed us that some of the corrupted Elachi were taking a fleet into our space to strike out against everyone on the other side of the rift as the corruption was causing the corrupted Elachi to lash out in anger and confusion.
We returned to the Grampian just as the corrupted Elachi arrived, the Hoffman and Kaamarke's ship, the Reskava, positioned themselves to begin working on closing the rift while we defended them, with the aid of other ships in the system, against the Elachi. They were eventually able to close the rift successfully with few issues from the Elachi forces, with the system safe we left the system.
J'Ula's weapon is extremely dangerous, I dread to think of the impact it would have if used on a planet. We have to stop her.

Mission 114/115/116/117/118: J'Ula's Discovery – Before Measure Of Morality
We were dispatched on a series of patrols in local systems following events in the Andoria system. Our first patrol was to the Donatu system to deploy orbital defences against attacks from corrupted Elachi in the system.
We were able to install the defences around a small moon where there was a defenceless facility in place, the Elachi did give us some trouble but they soon ended their attacks once all of the defence satellites were active and secured.
Our second patrol was in the Kern system which was under attack from Mo'Kai forces, Kuumaarke was helping in the efforts there as a Lukari research team was studying spore colonies in the system. A rift had been opened during the first attack and a distress call was sent, we arrived in time to fend off the Mo'Kai forces, seal the rift and help with the defence against the Mo'Kai fleet.
We proceeded to the Briars Patch once the Mo'Kai were forced to retreat.
In the Briars Patch we were tasked with disabling Mo'Kai technology which was being used to turn asteriods into mycelial weapons, disabling the tech prevented that. We came under attack by Mo'Kai forces each time we worked on disabling the tech, non-corrupted Elachi rendered aid to us so that we could complete the work and leave the system.
Afterwards we headed to the Kinjer system where the USS Birmingham was investigating private pirate activity, we arrived to find them being given aid after they had been disabled by a Ferengi ship.
We chased down the aforesaid Ferengi ship, along with the USS Carter and the USS Shirgat as backup, to discover that it was Madren's doing. He was attempting to sell mycelial spores, likely as weapons tech, to anyone looking to buy.
We were able to deal with his business partners and take Madren into custody, handing him over to the USS Birmingham once they were functional again after fending off against an attack wave of more of his business partners.
From there we headed back to the Imaga system where the remains of the Doomsday Device that we had destroyed over a year ago or so was causing problems in orbit as the radiation left behind from it's destruction was beginning to affect mycelial space in the system.
We worked quickly to deal with the radiation while coming under attack from Mo'Kai forces who were attempting to harvest spores that had been attracted by the radiation, Captain Koren of the IKS Bortasqu' arrived with a fleet to help fend off the Mo'Kai and eventually forcing them to retreat.
With that work done we left the system to wait for our next orders.

Mission 119: J'Ula's Discovery – The Measure Of Morality Part 1
We were asked by Seven Of Nine to help her with checking on a long range sensor array in the Traelus system, the last thing picked up before it had gone offline was a Borg patrol ship. We headed to the system to investigate.
Upon meeting with Seven we proceeded to the sensor array which had been sabotaged by Orion smugglers, after beaming her over we proceeded to the satellite to install updates that she suggested as she was concerned that the Borg were still likely a threat to the sector so she felt it would be a good idea to update the satellites to be able to detect them sooner.
After installing the updates Seven detected a massive energy surge and that we were being scanned before whoever or whatever it was that was doing this attempted to take over all of our control systems, Seven attempted to bypass but we were knocked out of the system and catapulted several hundred light years to the Excalbia system, a place that's largely been urban space legends for a while after Captain James Kirk of the USS Enterprise in the 23rd century had been here with his crew in the late 2260s where then Captain Kirk and then Commander Spock had faced a morality test done by the native species of the planet, the Excalbians, to understand the concept of morality.
Since it looked like we were thrown here for the same reason we had no choice but to approach the planet, establish orbit and contact the Excalbians. We were greeted by a facsimile of former old United States president Abraham Lincoln who invited us to beam down to meet him.
I beamed down with T'Met and Seven to meet with Mr. Lincoln, there we also met with one of the Excalbians, who was called Yarnek, and another facsimile, a former Starfleet officer called Michael Burnham, formerly of the USS Discovery, a Starfleet ship lost with all hands in the 2250s.
It was explained that after their encounter with Captain Kirk and Commander Spock their debate on the concepts of good and evil had continued, they had found the results of that prior test inconclusive and wanted to do another test in order to get final results that they hoped would provide a better conclusion.
After asking some questions and learning that they felt using violence as a means to understand these concepts in order to use them as a guide for their own people would provide better results we began the test with first heading to a facsimile of Brea 3 where we had worked with Obisek to bring down Hakeev a couple of years ago in 2409, seeing that we didn't have a choice in the matter we fought our way through Hakeev's forces as well as Iconian forces before confronting him.
During the fight Obisek was injured and Hakeev was forced to flee, we were faced with either helping Obisek or pursuing Hakeev, I decided to help Obisek as I felt that to be the more moral choice. Helping an ally is more important than personal vengeance.
After Yarnek gave us a summery of the consequences of my choice we got started on the next trial and found ourselves in a facsimile of the Annorax where we fought our way through not only Noye's forces but the forces of the Temporal Liberation Front as a whole, much like before with the Temporal Cold War and the Temporal War not so long ago.
We were soon facing Noye again, well the facsimile of him, and on defeat a facsimile of the female changling arrived in the form of one of the sphere builders in order to stop Noye in his actions and stabbing him fatally in the process.
I was left with a choice to support her actions and let the TLF collapse without Noye's command as it was already on the verge of collapse or to use the temporal core of the Annorax to go back to just before Noye's death and stop the female changling from killing him. However in saving Noye I risked the TLF seeing him as a martyr and using his death to keep the war going before the TLF collapsed.
It was a tough decision to make but I felt it was better to save Noye though it meant that the Hurq would destroy the Dominion and ravage much of the galaxy before they were stopped.
After returning to Yarnek who judged my decision we went to our next trial, a facsimile of a world that Burnham knew, a world called Essof 4 which had been a Section 31 testing site. It had a toxic atmosphere but according to the logs we found the crew of Discovery had been able to make a lab here in order to detain someone or something called The Red Angel.
Another log showed a different outcome that wasn't part of the official records though, the USS Discovery was destroyed by Section 31 ships which were under the control of something called, well, Control. Her wreckage was close by. The surviving crew were able to transfer something they called Sphere data to the computers in the facility and were concerned that Control would soon arrive to take the data by force.
After asking Burnham about Control and the Sphere data, the Sphere having been a very old lifeform that had transferred all of it's vast knowledge to Discovery before it's death, we go to work on finding and capturing the Red Angel who Burnham informed us was her mother who had been sent to a future where Control had wiped out all life and she was trying to find a way to change that future.
We got everything ready and Burnham readied herself to expose herself to the toxic atmosphere of the planet in order to lure the Red Angel to help her, before we could do that however the Red Angel arrived and we quickly detained them behind a EMP forcefield designed to prevent them from leaving.
To our surprise the Red Angel wasn't Burnham's mother, it was Burnham herself, a future Burnham. We learned from her that she wanted to take the Sphere data into the future so that Control wouldn't be able to take it. It was the best course of action so I prepared to transfer the data over to the other Burnham only for Control to arrive in the form of Discovery's dead crew both past and before the ship was destroyed by Control.
We fought them off only for Control to merge their bodies into a single mass, we had to use the other Burnham as bait to lure Control to where she was so that we could magnetise the floor of the platform where Burnham was and do as much damage as we could before it recovered.
Eventually Control was stopped but I was faced with another choice, to destroy the Sphere data in order to stop Control from getting it or allow Seven to inoculate the other Burnham with Borg nanites that would lock out the other Burnham from the Red Angel suit and be unable to take it to the future, transfer the data to the suit and send it to the future quickly alone.
I decided to destroy the data as it was just too risky in case Control got to the suit before we could send it to the future, the other Burnham however ended up killed by Control and Control continued to exist but my choice may have bought time for Control to be stopped. Another complication appeared as well, Control managed to get some of Seven's genetic material when she tried to inoculate the other Burnham while I deleted the data. As a result Control has made a fully assimilated pre-liberated Seven out of itself, it left before we could do anything to stop it.
With the trial over we returned to Yarnek who judged my choice and suggested that we take a break before the next trial which I felt was a good idea considering what we had already gone through. Once we were ready we would return to begin the next trial.
It was like doing mental tactical exercises again, having to make decisions on difficult situations. While I stand by my choices I do wonder what the outcomes would have been if I had chosen differently. I suppose that's why becoming a captain requires being able to make the tough calls and why Admiral Garret felt I had the potential to be a good captain if I was willing to face the difficult situations and decide on the best course of action.
Once we're ready we'll begin the next trial.
