The Voyages Of The USS Grampian

The Ournal Class space dock can support up to eight Sovereign Class vessels, and up to twenty four smaller ships. Tranquility is a huge show of Starfleet strength as well as a safe haven and a place to repair starships. It also provides staging areas for many freighters and transport vessels.

The giant sensor towers and the forest of antennae allow the facility to scan for light-years around the area of the station. Non-Starfleet endeavours are welcome at Tranquility. Retail and office space along with cargo holds and numerous holodecks are available. Tranquility provides transporter service and trade arbitration if necessary.

Tranquility also has a significant tourist trade, by virtue of its role as gateway to the Pinastri Sector. Advanced medical and scientific research facilities can be found on Tranquility. The only limit regarding missions is the imagination of its commander.

Mission 64: Delta Quadrant Arc 4 – All That Glitters and Know Your Enemies

The USS Grampian was sent to the Shenda system to help out Voyager's Emergency Medical Hologram simply called The Doctor with a medical emergency. We arrived in the system to find the Doctor having no luck in hailing an Ocampan freighter, another race native to the Delta Quadrant, and he asked if he could come aboard the Grampian to keep trying which I approved.
We approached the freighter only for a tractor beam probe to appear and attempt to hold the ship in place, we were able to destroy it just as Vaadwaur ships warped in. We fended off against the Vaadwaur until the fighting stopped and their leader, a man called Gaul, requested diplomatic negotiations.
Contacting Neelix we arranged to have these talks at the now abandoned Talaxian asteroid colony.

We arrived back at the colony where the Talaxians were entertaining the Vaadwaur, myself, T'Met and our tactical hologram beamed down with the Doctor. Neelix and the Doctor got to talking as it had been a fair while since they had last seen one another, eventually the Vaadwaur were ready and we headed to the control room for the colony to meet with Gaul.
Talks broke down quickly though as Gaul wasn't interested in seeking peaceful cooperation, his people were attacking another species called the Kobali who are also native to the quadrant, their homeworld used to be a Vaadwaur colony and it has stasis tubes containing more Vaadwaur but the Kobali have been repurposing them into new Kobai to keep their own species growing. Talks didn't go well due to his disinterest in seeking diplomatic talks with them so he killed Jolex who had entered the control room to let us know that the food for the talks was almost ready. Gaul had wanted a reaction but was disappointed to not get the one he wanted, he then ordered his men to begin killing the Talaxians who had come to the colony with Neelix before beaming back to his ship.

We did our best to save as many Talaxians as possible but we sadly couldn't save them all, we helped the survivours to the hanger bay where a shuttle was waiting for them while we held the line against the Vaadwaur, we were joined unexpectedly by the Turei who wanted to repay us for our help previously. With their help we were able to force the Vaadwaur to call off their attack on the colony and returned to the ship, however the Vaadwaur weren't done with us yet and launched an attack on the Turei, Voyager and the Grampian.
We were able to defend against them, forcing any surviving ships to leave the system. We followed suit not long after once we learned that the Ocampan freighter had been a ruse when the USS Blackwell investigated it and found it empty while we were at the colony, Gaul had planned all of this with no intentions of seeking diplomacy. The Vaadwaur have proven that they are not looking to talk, only kill. This is going to be a messy conflict unless we can find a way to end it quickly.

After leaving the colony behind we were assigned to patrol the Brothra and Nular systems, we headed to the Nular system first as it the closest to our location upon leaving the colony. At the Nular system we helped a Subcommander Rai Sahen lure in Vaadwaur by using recently deployed surveillance beacons to let the Vaadwaur know if the Malon are returning to the system to use it as a dumping ground for their anti matter waste as they had been chased away recently by the Vaadwaur recently and the system cleaned up, the Subcommander wanted to use the beacons to lure in the Vaadwaur and steal intel data from their ships, once disabled, in order to determine where Vaadwaur main base might be.
We were able to do this well but it was getting pretty tough by the last beacon, the Lleiset arrived to lend us a hand and we were able to get the intel data that was sought after.

With that patrol complete we headed to the Brothra system where we helped the Cooperative and the Octanti to work together against a Vaadwaur attack, with that completed and maybe a chance for the Cooperative and the Octanti to learn to get along with one another we left the system for our next assignment.

Mission 65: Delta Quadrant Arc 5 – The Kobali Front

The USS Grampian was assigned to the Kobali system to help them in their defence against the Vaadwaur attack on their people, upon beaming down with T'Met and our tactical hologram I met with Captain Harry Kim who filled me in on the situation with the Vaadwaur and the struggles that the Kobali were having with defending themselves.
I then met with a General Q'Nel who tasked us with first trying to help boost morale before helping with repairs and teaching a rookie captain in the process, with that complete Captain Kim shared a theory with me on why the Vaadwaur haven't just wiped the Kobai out as the Vaadwaur have superior weapons and man power, he suggested that it wasn't the city the Vaadwaur were after but something else in the area.

With the captain searching for more information I reported back to the general just as the Vaadwaur attempted to attack at the city entrance, we were able to force the Vaadwaur to fall back despite them having the greater advantage.
After reporting back to the general he asked us to meet with his son who was fighting outside the city, we tried to use the transporter but it was damaged so we headed to his location on foot. After meeting him he requested if I could help embolden scared soldiers in the field, once that was done we were asked to ascertain why the transporter network wasn't working, we discovered that the Vaadwaur have placed transport inhibitors around the area so we focused on disabling the generators in order to bring the inhibitors offline.
With that completed we returned to the city as Captain Kim wanted to see us again, he mentioned something about a temple in the area so while he investigated farther we headed back out to keep the fight going against the Vaadwaur after reporting to the general again who was acting a little odd in regards of anything asked about the temple.

So to keep helping the Kobali we headed out to tap into Vaadwaur communications with a trace on any subspace communications arrays they had in place. Upon doing that Sonoe, back on the Grampian, was able to ascertain that it was the temple that the Vaadwaur were after.
We helped the defence force there to hold the temple from a Vaadwaur advance before heading inside with Captain Kim, however we found that we were too late, the Vaadwaur had already managed to get inside so we had no choice but to deal with the forces within.
We helped a dying Kobali back to health, she gave us her codes to see exactly what the Vaadwaur were after, what we found were stasis tubes filled with Vaadwaur, Gaul had been right.

We confronted the general with what we had discovered but there was little we could do, we had to follow the Prime Directive and not make any attempt to change their culture. It wasn't ideal especially given that this was the reason why the Vaadwaur were attacking but we had no choice but accept it and focus on defending the Kobali as best we could.
With that in mind we were next sent to retrieve information from an overrun Kobali base in the area, we were able to retrieve the information and deleted what the Vaadwaur had managed to find from their computers before moving on to a forward base.
There we were asked to take scans of Vaadwaur bodies as an unusual chemical was found in their blood that had the Kobali scientists concerned, I forwarded the scan I took to the Grampian and Sonoe was able to determine that the chemical was designed to prevent the Kobali from turning Vaadwaur dead into Kobali, after reporting this to the forward base's general I was given two options, to rescue some scouts or gather more information on this chemical, I choose to get more information as that would help the Kobali in the long term though I regret not being able to save the scouts as well.

Once we had the scans we headed to an abandoned base to take what information there was in the computer there, we had to secure the base and hold the line long enough which we were successful in doing with a Captain Dralia's help, she focused on extracting the information while we defended her.
We discovered that the Vaadwaur had turned this chemical into a virus designed to kill the Kobali and prevent them from maintaining their population. After reporting this to the general we were tasked with heading to another forward base which was in the hills beyond the city, we pushed our way through the Vaadwaur forces, on the way there we recovered information from dead Kobali scouts which provided us with the location of Vaadwaur bases to get more information from.
With the information delivered to the next forward base we pushed forward to another Vaadwaur base to get any samples of the original virus strain, once we had that sample it was sent to the hip so that our people could find a counteragent. I reported our findings to the general before we returned to the front to lead a final assault on the main Vaadwaur base with a single goal in mind, to destroy the virus by whatever means possible.

We pushed through their defences taking down communications towers and limiting their chances of reinforcements, we finally reached the main base where we set explosive charges in order to destroy their stockpiles of the virus and generally do as much damage as possible. Eventually we faced the leader for the entire attack on the Kobali, with effort we were able to defeat them and give the Kobali a fighting chance against the Vaadwaur.
A counteragent was found for the virus and the Kobali leaders felt it best to avoid using any more of the Vaadwaur filled stasis tubes which would fairly mean a change in how their culture does things, it is for the best though considering current circumstances.
With our mission on the Kobali homeworld completed we returned to the Grampian and headed out to our next assignment.

Hopefully our efforts will give the Kobali the chance they need to force the Vaadwaur back and off the planet, I doubt this will be the last time we'll be on the planet and expect to likely return later down the line.

Log Ends.

Mission 66: Delta Quadrant Arc 6 – Capture The Flag

We were sent to the Orlitus system to work with the Lleisat that was coming to the aid of Allied ships under attack by the Vaadwaur. We arrived at the system and got to work with helping ships under attack by the Vaadwaur, each ship we helped joined us as a united whole against the Vaadwaur, however the Lleisat ended up being damaged and boarded during the battle so me and my team beamed over to help the Lleisat's crew in their efforts to repel the Vaadwaur boarders.
Upon beaming down to the Lleisat I spoke with Galius Selan who give me a tactical update, the crew were being assaulted by the Vaadwaur who had boarded the ship, the captain was in their custody and several key areas had been taken by the boarders. We were asked to first assist a Doctor Cratak in sickbay which we headed to while helping out any injured crew. On the way there we helped out a Defari civilian scientist who did his best to attend to the wounded while we continued to sickbay.

In sickbay we helped the doctor against the Vaadwaur, she suggested that we contact the bridge or anyone close to the bridge for any updates which we were able to do and learned that a strike team was already headed there with the goal of claiming it from the Vaadwaur, however the team was unsuccessful as they were quickly taken out by a single Vaadwaur Overseer who defeated the team easily despite coming under heavy fire and not even shrugging from the sustained weapons fire.
There wasn't anything I could do to help them so we focused on doing what we could and headed to the Armoury to assist a Lieutenant Terel who we were able to help quickly before we were tasked to head to the Brig to free the captain and other officers who had been taken prisoner by the Vaadwaur.

We were able to storm the Brig and free the captain and other officers, after giving her an update she suggested that my team went with Subcommander Merol to the bridge in order to secure it while she stayed back and monitored the situation due to being injured when the Vaadwaur had boarded the ship.
We arrived at the bridge to find it empty of Vaadwaur, we were able to secure it and several of the ship's systems since the Vaadwaur had been unable to take control of the ship's systems to open fire on the Grampian and our allies, we contacted Lieutenant Terel who prepared to move in with her team to claim Engineering which had been taken by the Vaadwaur, the crew there had been overwhelmed quickly. Terel's team was hit hard though in the attempt.

We proceeded to Engineering quickly to repel the Vaadwaur and met with Selan's team who was waiting to move in, once a plan was made we headed in and used a series of vents to weaken the Vaadwaur Overseer which helped with weakening him, with effort and help from Terel's team, who we were able to assist before trying to talk the Overseer down from their plan to destabilise the Lleisat's singularity core, and Captain Jarok we were able to defeat the boarding party's leader once they were weakened enough by the sustained attack by using a specialised grenade made by Terel, the explosion delivered the killing blow which sent the Overseer over a railing to their death as they vaporised after going over it.
With the boarding party repelled successfully we returned to the Grampain after talking with the surviving crew of the Lleisat.

It seems that the Vaadwaur have found a way to become near invincible, it took one of them to inflict so much harm and death to the crew of one ship, however this has been done has to be determined and dealt with before they can do this to other ships in the Alliance.
Hopefully we'll find a way to stop them soon before more ships are attacked like the Lleisat was.

Mission 67: Delta Quadrant Arc 7 – The Dragon's Deceit

The Grampian was sent to the outer edges of the Kartella system to meet with a Harzari bounty hunter who was believed to be able to help us get farther into the system to confirm the intel about the Vaadwaur having a base in the system.
On warping into the system we met with Voyager where Admiral Tuvok filled us in on what the plan was, we then met with the bounty hunter, a Harzari male called Y'Dren, who had come under attack by the Vaadwaur. Once the Vaadwaur were out of the way he gave us a holographic mask to make the ship look like a Vaadwaur ship and we changed the power signature to try and pass off as one. Once done we proceeded to Kartella Prime which was surrounded by Vaadwaur checkpoints, ships, shipyards and more.

We slowly made our way to the planet where upon entering orbit I beamed down alone where I took a grapple shot that had been supplied and made my way into the base stealthily and making use of ways to distract Vaadwaur patrols. Once that was done I distracted an Overseer's bodyguard and proceeded farther in, however the bodyguard was able to alert the Overseer and I had no choice but to defend myself.
However upon defeating the Overseer some kind of large insect like parasite came out of their mouth, I recognised it from Starfleet records about an attempted takeover in the mid 2360s by a parasitical race and the bodyguard was witness to this as well. Horrified by what they had just seen they agreed to work with me, his name is Eldex, to find out exactly what these parasites are by following the one that fled when I tried to kill it.

We headed down into the caves after it by following it's pheromone trail and found ourselves in a chamber with some stasis tubes and another Overseer who was also controlled by a parasite, we defeated this second Overseer together and the parasite he was controlled by left his body, however two larger more developed parasites appeared while the smaller one cocooned itself, we defeated those just as the previous parasite bust out of it's cocoon, it had rapidly grown into a form much bigger than the two we had just defeated.
Together we defeated it with success and I was contacted by the Grampian, I offered to take Eldex with me but he wanted to investigate on his own so I said goodbye for now and returned to the ship.
We proceeded out of the system but the transponder codes we were using were invalid as we tried to leave, we swapped our codes with another Vaadwaur ship which kept the Vaadwaur busy as we left the area and met with Voyager, the Admiral beamed back over before we left the system.

Now that we have an idea of what's happening to the Vaadwaur leadership we might hopefully find a way to deal with these parasites and end the conflict if we can. But we need allies to do that and a plan to expose these parasites to the larger Vaadwaur populace so that they can see exactly what's going on. Hopefully we'll be able to do that soon.

Mission 68: Delta Quadrant Arc 8 – Alliances and Better With Friends

The USS Grampian was requested to help with making an Allied force against the Vaadwaur, we were asked to meet with Admiral Tuvok and Captain Harry Kim in the Al'Yans system to discuss a plan for making this happen.
I beamed over to Voyager after we warped into the system and met with the alliance leaders so far about seeking allies, Seven was sent to talk to the Borg Cooperative, Neelix to talk to the Hazari, Captain Kim to talk to the Kazon, the Doctor to talk to the Hierarchy, another species native to the Delta Quadrant, while I was assigned to talk to the Turei and the Octanti. With this plan sorted out I returned to the Grampian where we left to meet with the Turei after I informed my crew on what the plan was.

The Turei weren't willing to listen though, however the Vaadwaur suddenly attacked during my talks with them and we did our best to assist the Turei against them while the Turei leadership tried to contact the Voth for help but failed, once the Vaadwaur were out of the way the Turei leadership agreed to think about the proposal of an alliance leaving us free to warp to where the Octanti were.

With the Octanti they were unwilling to work with us due to their hatred towards the Borg, just as talks failed a Cooperative ship infected by an Octanti virus they had unleashed on the Cooperative came out of warp and attacked, we learned that the Cooperative ship was being commanded by the brother of the Octanti leader we were talking to about an alliance. We were able to disable the Cooperative ship and help them to be rid of the virus, with the Octanti surprised at the help from the Cooperative and us they accepted our offer to join the alliance, hopefully one day they'll come to value a friendship with the Cooperative.
From there we proceeded to Neelix's location to help with the Hazari who were only willing to help if we could talk to the Benthan Guard about request the Hazari had for the Benthan to consider with before they would consider an alliance. The Benthan weren't so willing unless we did something for them, there was a Hazari they were wanting to take into custody for considering heeding the Hazari requests. We offered to do this and did it by luring them out, disabling their ship and beaming them over to hand over to the Benthan Guard ship. However it turned out to be a ruse by the Hazari to get someone on the Guard ship to take intel from their computer, since our alliance was more important then I felt it best to not say anything as we have bigger fish to fry to quote a saying.

After that we headed to where the Doctor was trying to recruit the Hierarchy to the alliance. They wanted a show of strength after they were unwilling to join, they wanted convincing that we were worth considering having an alliance with, so they had us engage in a fight with a holographic Voth ship, we were able to impress them enough that they agreed to an alliance.
After that we headed to where Captain Kim was to lend a hand with the Kazon, the Kazon Relora weren't willing until we gave them some terraforming systems while a Kazon maje of the Kazon Nistrim who is the son of someone called Seska who had served on Voyager for a short time entered the system to talk to the captain. However this ended up in the Kazon Nistrim attacking us and the Kazon Relora leaving us with no choice but to defend ourselves until he retreated. The Kazon Relora offered to join the alliance once the remaining Nistrim were dealt with, with that done we were free to to Voyager with our mission complete.

We were sent out on another patrol assignment to three systems, we headed to the Kelsid system first to help a Talaxian convoy headed to the Nekrit Expanse to defend itself against the Vaadwaur by setting up defensive satellites and fending off a Vaadwaur attack.
Once that was completed we proceeded to the Zahl system where we received a distress call from a species called the Krenium who were under attack from the Vaadwaur, they needed help to evacuate their people past a Vaadwaur blockade, however the Voth complicated things by also attacking the Vaadwaur and we were caught in the crossfire.
With the help of a Romulan Republic Starfleet allied ship, the USS Gladius, we were able to help get the evacuating ships out of the system and dispatch of the attacking Vaadwaur ships.
Our last system was the Farn system where we assisted some damaged Cooperative ships against the Vaadwaur while dealing with the system's sun having sudden flares that would confuse sensors. With the patrols completed we headed out of the system to await our next orders.

Mission 69: Delta Quadrant Arc 9 – Revolution and Taking Care Of Enemies

Commander Eldex, the Vaadwaur I helped and worked alongside with briefly in the Kartella system recently, asked for me and the Grampian to meet him in the Molinya system, Seven of Nine came along with us to lend a hand.
Upon arrival in the system and Seven beaming over to the Grampian from Voyager, Eldex gave us his plan that required the use of a Hirogen communications array to inform the entirety of his people of the parasites that were controlling the Vaadwaur leaders. The first step of this plan was to capture a Hirogen ship and take it's communication's console.
Once the targeted Hirogen ship was disabled we beamed over to take their communications array which would be used to take control of the array. Myself, T'Met and Seven beamed over to the Hirogen ship to do this task which we were successful at before beaming to a Vaadwaur ship that Eldex had provided. We scuttled the Hirogen ship to prevent the Hirogen from finding out what we were doing, however a Benthan Guard vessel entered the system before we could do the next part of our plan leaving us with no choice but to disable their ship.
Eldex, however, wasn't willing to risk the plan and destroyed the Benthan ship, an action I condemn. It was uncalled for.

We had to focus on the plan though despite Eldex's actions and we proceeded back to the Kartella system, where a Vaadwaur conference was about to begin, and we were able to bypass their security with our borrowed Vaadwaur ship, once in orbit again myself and my team beamed down. We used holographic masks to pose as Vaadwaur and headed in to the base that I had previously inflicted before, from there we placed recording devices and neural disruptors, the disruptors being intended to disable the Vaadwaur leadership and force the parasites out of them in front of the gathered Vaadwaur forces in the base.
We also installed a signal booster to boost the communications signal to the array so that the intended message could be delivered to all Vaadwaur in the quadrant. With this completed we attended the conference, however the plan ended up being altered when Gaul was called away from the other Vaadwaur leaders just as the disruptors were brought online. The parasites were revealed in them and Gaul used this as a way to rouse the other Vaadwaur to choose sides resulting in a civil war of a sorts.

We returned to the beam in point as quickly as we could, fought our way out of the system and returned to the array while Eldex stayed behind to rally anyone loyal to his cause against Gaul and the parasites. The plan didn't go as intended but it does seem to have resulted in a disruption in the Vaadwaur chain of command, how this will play out is hard to say but maybe it will give the Alliance a chance to bring an end to the conflict.
Myself and my team returned to the Grampian and left the system for our next assignment which was one more patrol, this time to just one system, the Kinbar system. There we assisted the Voth in protecting a Turei trade convoy, who were meeting with the Harzari and the Talaxians for trade, against the Hirogen who were on the hunt for the sake of hunting. We assisted the Voth with protecting both convoys and left the system once that was complete.

I feel like our time in the Delta Quadrant may be nearing it's end and that we could be in for a big battle very soon.
My crew and ship will do their best to do what is required of them if that will be the case, the Vaadwaur and the parasites have to be stopped.

Log Ends.

Mission 70: Delta Quadrant Arc 10 – Takedown

We were called back to the sphere to meet with the Alliance leaders to discuss the plan for making the final push against the Vaadwaur.
Upon returning to the Sphere I beamed down to meet with Admiral Janeway before meeting with the rest of the Alliance members, after meeting with them we talked about the attack plan and provided to the Vaadwaur homeworld of Vaadwaur Prime where Gaul and his forces had made a defensive stand.
The Harzari went in with the first wave to act as defence, it was a tough fight but the Harzari's tactics were a massive asset, from there we moved to the next line of defence and sent in the Kazon. However the Kazon sided with the Vaadwaur, which Captain Kim had expected, so he called in the Hirogen to help us out which they were happy to as this was a good hunt for them.

On the third line of defence I called in the Cooperative who were a massive asset as well, the last line of defence required the skills of the Hierarchy who were also a great asset. With each line of defence down we moved in on Gaul's remaining fleet which put up a considerable fight, one that we almost lost until Eldex arrived with his own small fleet which helped us to turn the tide of battle on Gaul.
Gaul fled to the planet below and me and my team headed down after him, we fought our way through his remaining ground forces until we reached an open area where we faced off against more Vaadwaur forces and more of the parasites, Eldex beamed down and knocked Gaul out of an observation room down to us, it took some effort but we were finally able to defeat him. However it turned out that Gaul wasn't a host to a parasite which was surprising.

With Gaul dead we joined Eldex, Captain Kim, Neelix, the Doctor, Admiral Tuvok and Seven in the observation room where we came across some unusual radiation readings behind a concerned compartment, opening it we found an Iconian device. Could the Vaadwaur have been working with the Iconians? That would explain their technology and strength, this could also mean that the parasites are connected to the Iconians as well.

The device was secured for examination and we returned to the Grampian. Our assignment to the Delta Quadrant isn't over yet but for now it looks like the Vaadwaur won't be as strong a threat as before.

Mission 71: Delta Quadrant Arc 11 – What's Left Behind

We were asked to meet Admiral Tuvok and Captain Kim in the Nal Shaddan system to assist with the analysis of the Iconian device that we found on Vaadwaur Prime. On arrival to the system I beamed over to Voyager to help with the analysis of the device, we were able to determine that it was sending a transmission to somewhere within the system in subspace, with this done I returned to the Grampian with the Doctor coming along with me and met with the Lleisat before we entered a portal that took us to an Elachi station within subspace, as we approached the station we came under attack by the Elachi and were able to defend ourselves successfully.
With the Elachi ships out of the way we beamed down to the station with a team from the Lleisat and the Doctor, the environment required myself, T'Met and Karen to wear EV suits as the atmosphere wasn't great on our biological lungs. Jarok took her team into one path while we took the other while keeping in contact with one another.

We progressed into the station and found that the parasites had been created by the Solonae who we had encountered before and rescued as many prisoners they had in captivity as we could before progressing farther into the station fighting more Elachi along the way.
We met up with Jarok's team again and a rather unexpected person, Empress Sela, who was on the run from the Elachi.
We helped her to fend off against more Elachi before she was taken into custody, it seems she's angered the Iconians and wants asylum. With our mission complete we returned to our respective ships and left through another portal.

Sela managed to escape from custody not long after, however I feel we'll see her again soon. Now that we know where the parasites had come from and that they were created with Iconian approval is unsettling. I can't help but feel that things may be coming to a head with the Iconians very soon.

Log Ends.

Mission 72 – Delta Quadrant Arc Mission 12 – Dust To Dust

Shortly after our experiences with the Elachi station we were contacted by Captain Kim who asked us to join him back at Kobali Prime where there's a problem, the Vaadwaur were attacking again.
We arrived at the system and helped to fend off the attacking Vaadwaur ships, we beamed down and helped the Kobali and Captain Kim with pushing through the Vaadwaur forces back to the temple where the stasis tubes were located.
After holding the line against the Vaadwaur myself and Captain Kim headed in, my team stayed with the Kobali defence forces to secure the entrance.

Heading farther in we found a stasis tube and a recording, another Harry Kim had been in the tube. From what the captain told me there had been an unusual situation with Voyager in late 2372 where Voyager was duplicated, one was heavily damaged by anti proton bursts by the other Voyager by accident while the other Voyager was later destroyed when another Delta Quadrant species, the Viidians, had boarded that Voyager. That Voyager's Captain Janeway destroyed the ship rather than risk the other Voyager being discovered.
It seems that the Voyager that survived lost their Harry Kim from a hull breach and the Kobali found his body, they were in the process of repurposing his body into a new Kobali but his memories were still complete and he tried to escape from them with an intent on contacting Voyager, which was on an assignment and couldn't risk being contacted at the time.

Me and the captain chased after the other Harry Kim, now called Keten by the Kobali, who tried to evade us constantly before managing to use our codes to beam aboard a Kobali ship in orbit, we returned to our respective ships and chased after him. We also met with a Kobali woman called Jhet'leya who used to be a Voyager crewmember until her death in the 2370s who joined s in chasing after Keten. We were able to disable his ship but the Hirogen saw a chance to have a hunt so we had to deal with them first before me and the captain beamed over to Keten's stolen ship.
I was able to talk him down from his attempt to contact Voyager, Captain Kim and Jhet'leya stayed behind to fill him in on what's happened since his death while I returned to the Grampian.

Keten is in for an interesting life I would imagine. For now the USS Grampian's assignment in the Delta Quadrant is finished, we'll likely be back again at some point. My crew have done an amazing job during this long and tough assignment, I'm proud of them.
Whatever comes next we'll face it as we always have. I feel that we may be facing off against the Iconians soon as so far a lot of our experiences have all come back to their efforts to destabilise the galaxy. If so then it could be a very tough fight.

Mission 73: Iconian War Arc 1 – Uneasy Allies

We were contacted by Lieutenant Commander Kyla VanZyl who, while on leave, had detected some unusual readings from the Hobus system from her shuttle, she asked us to meet her there. We arrived in the system where we received a distress call from her, she had come under attack from Romulan forces. We rushed to her aid as quickly as we could where we came under attack ourselves by the Romulan Star Navy, forces loyal to the Empress.
We defeated the Star Navy ship that attacked us and disabled the freighter that was attacking the Lt Commander, she docked her shuttle in the Grampian's shuttlebay after a brief chat. We scanned the freighter and the planetary fragment if had been protecting, detecting Romulan lifesigns from the scan, just before we were hailed by Gaius Selan from the Lleisat, he was behaving oddly as if he was part of the Collective again.
We locked a tractor beam on the freighter and beamed down to the facility it had been guarding to investigate.

In the facility we encountered Romulan forces and determined what they were doing, there was an Iconian gateway that they were trying to operate but the power systems in the facility were struggling to allow that due to not having enough power. We proceeded farther into the facility where we came across the bodies of Remen civilians of the Romulan Republic, they had been brutally killed by the Romulan forces who had invaded the facility.
We pushed farther into the base dealing with any attacking Romulan forces until we reached the gateway room, the gate having been activated, Empress Sela was about to head through the gate only to surrender to us when the last of her forces were dealt with.
As we were about to take her into custody we were contacted by Starfleet Command who informed us that Sela has escaped custody, which we had already known, and I explained that we had just captured her just as they had contacted us. We were ordered to find her her true motives which so far seemed to be about making her way to an Iconian base that she had the coordinates to.
With her in our custody she offered to explain what she knew on her ship which I reluctantly agreed to, especially since it meant we could help Selan.

She explained that the Iconians were getting ready to make their move to attack and her plan was to try and stop them, she wanted our help to do this. I agreed to help her, beamed Selan over to the Grampian for treatment and helped to repair her ship before we got underway to her intended destination.
In the engine room of her ship I assigned some of my team to repair where they could while I helped with what repairs I could as well as defusing explosive charges that I found were placed by a Republic spy who I had no choice but to take into custody more for their safety than Sela's. With the repairs completed and the saboteur in our brig to be handed over to the Republic later we returned to the Grampian after reporting back to Sela and headed with her to the Nopada system, the last time having been when I had been held prisoner there to fight in an arena last year.

We arrived at the Nopada system to find Tai'Shiar forces there, as they weren't taking orders from Sela any more as they work for the Iconians now then we had no choice but to defend ourselves before beaming down to Hakeev's base where he had been researching Iconian technology while working for them before his death last year.
Sela helped us to enter the facility, within we came under attack by Tai'Shiar forces before we entered Haakev's office and found access to a secret chamber, within it we came across the gateway that me and Slamek had come across when we had escaped the arena the last time I was on this planet.

As we were investigating the gateway, which we were able to activate, we came under attack from Lt Commander VanZyl, once she was knocked out we discovered that she had been the host to one of the Solanae parasites. We beamed her back to the ship for medical treatment before heading through the gateway after Sela who had run ahead.
On the other end we found ourselves in an Iconian base, we came under attack by it's defences which we were able to deal with easily enough. Moving farther into the base we encounter Taris who had escaped custody, she fled farther into the base and we gave chase. We cornered her in an overlook with no way out other than past us and she tried to explain her reasons for working with the Iconians, how she wanted them to use time travel to restore Romulus but they couldn't do that due to time travel being lethal to their minds.
Sela wasn't interested in listening for very long though and murdered Taris by kicking her off the edge of the overlook, just as we came under the attention of the Iconians. We had no choice but to retreat back to the gateway past Iconian Herald forces, we were successful but Sela stayed behind while we escaped through the gateway.

We were contacted just as we returned and returned to the Grampian where we headed to the Iconia system to find that the system had been engulfed by a new Dyson sphere, one even bigger than what we had encountered previously.
The Iconians had arrived in the Milky Way.

Mission 74: Iconian War Arc 2 – Blood Of Ancients

The Grampian has been ordered back to the Sol system to meet with Alliance leaders in regards to the Iconians arriving in the galaxy. I beamed down to attend the briefing with the Alliance leaders only for the briefing to be cut short with word that the Iconian's Herald forces were attacking New Romulus and Starbase 234.
I returned to the Grampian and we warped to the starbase to help the fend off against the attacking Herald forces but the battle went poorly as the Heralds easily boarded the starbase no matter what we did, their portals allowed them to overwhelm the starbase defences easily while the defending forces outside the starbase were being outnumbered rapidly.

We did our best though only to be called to New Romulus to aid in the efforts there, we reluctantly left the system as the starbase was lost and we arrived in the New Romulus system into a pitched battle, we fought our way through their forces as best we could but it was fierce. I beamed down to the surface with my team to aid in the efforts there, we fought our way through the Herald forces and made our way to the ruins where the Iconian gateway had been discovered, the chamber had been reopened recently following the incident that had resulted in recent events. The battle was fierce with the defence forces being decimated when we secured the ruins forcing us to retreat into the ruins.
Once inside we fought our way to the gateway and found that it had been activated. After we were able to defeat their forces we entered the gateway and found ourselves back on Lae'nas Three, the planet where we had discovered the Preserver Archive last year. An Iconian named M'Tara with Herald forces arrived shortly after which again ensued in a brief fight before the Iconian killed a living Preserver who had been woken from stasis, it seems the Preservers may have been part of the origin of the Iconians from what we heard during their brief talk. It should be noted that it was M'Tara who had appeared at the Klingon Great Hall when the Undine had attacked Qo'noS, I recognised them instantly.

The Grampian arrived in the system and we beamed back to her just as the Heralds forces arrived in the system as well, Captain Tom Paris arrived in the system to lend us a hand before more Alliance forces joined us.
We were unable to stop the Heralds from destroying the Preserver archive though, we did our best but they were too powerful for us to stop. The Herald forces left once the archive was destroyed, we left the system shortly afterwards to join the Romulan Republic Flotilla near New Romulus.

The war is still ongoing and this first attack has been proof that we are in for a seriously tough fight, their portals give them a considerable tactical advantage.
It's going to be a brutal war if these events are any indication.

Mission 75: Iconian War Arc 3 – Delta Flight

Captain Tom Paris requested the assistance of the USS Grampian in a task force operation against the Iconians in the Calbriden system.
Upon arrival in the system I beamed over to the USS Bern to meet with the task force leaders, a Lieutenant Commander Miral Paris, daughter of Captain Tom Paris, greeted me, the Grampian kept an eye open for any Iconian ships attacking during the briefing.
I met with each of the assigned task force leaders:

Ensign Kana Janis – Team Scout
Hadaen D'Mora
Ferix – Trader and Blockade Runner
Andrew Westin – Self proclaimed genius
Guroth – Weapon's Expert
Lt Commander Miral Paris
Captain Tom Paris

After meeting with everyone the captain explained the plan, to head farther into the system which is heavily defended and make our way to a Solanae station and destroy it along with a Solanae device that is being used to provide a gateway for the Solanae to use the system as a beachhead and leave the system with our lives intact if able.
A risky and rather bold plan.

Once the briefing was complete I returned to the Grampain and we proceeded into the system with the task force doing our best to avoid detection, we did end up getting into a battle though where the USS Bern ended up being disabled and boarded. I beamed over with my team to rendezvous with Captain Tom Paris who also beamed over, we cleared out the Herald forces as quickly as we could before we returned to the ship, after helping with quick repairs to the Bern, to resume with proceeding farther to the Solanae station.

We arrived at the station and proceeded with the plan but the ship that Westin was in command of was destroyed by a Herald dreadnought that came out of a portal just as he was approaching the station, thankfully Miral had backups of Westin's plans on how to deal with the station by infiltrating their systems in order to make their shield emitters vulnerable to attack so despite the sheer power of the dreadnought we proceeded with the plan to destroy the station by forcing the dreadnought to retreat at points before dealing with the station's shield emitters, eventually the station was defenceless and we were able to destroy the dreadnought, the station being destroyed shortly after.
We left the system shortly after and Miral informed me of information she had managed to get from the station when she had infiltrated their systems, seems the Iconians are using another sphere as an important strategic post, this information was sent to Alliance Command for analysis.

Although we lost Westin and his crew we were successful, sadly in war losses are all too inevitable as we all know all too well.
However this war ends it's going to be a bloody outcome regardless.

Mission 76: Iconian War Arc 4 – House Pegh

The USS Grampian has been requested by the Klingon Empire to assist in a covert operation in the Dinasia system, we were to meet with a man called Ramir who would provide with the details of the operation.
On arrival to the system the I.K.S. Hegh decloaked and I beamed aboard to meet with the covert operations team commanded by Ramir. The plan was to infiltrate an Iconian base in the system and sabotage their Omega generators which they were using to power the base, we were to sneak in under cloak, beam down, sabotage the generators and escape without hopefully being detected. If detected then we were to fight our way out as best as possible.

After speaking with the team's technical expert to see if we could find a way to reduce the chances of a mass destructive Omega explosion by stabilising the molecules I returned to the Grampian, we proceeded farther into the system under the Hegh's extended cloaking field.
We approached the planet of Dinasia Prime carefully, scanning the base as best we could the closer we got without being detected by the Herald forces in the system. Eventually we were able to enter orbit where my team, myself and Ramir's team beamed down to begin the operation.

Upon beaming down Ramir informed me that he wasn't the leader of House Pegh, the true leader beamed down shortly after, the clone of Emperor Kahless who had been created by monks in the 2360s. He wanted to join us in this operation despite the risks, his assistance was welcome.
With the introductions out of the way we began the operation in full and headed to the first generator. It didn't take us long to get into our first fight with the Herald forces in the base, we dealt with them quickly before proceeding to the first generator.
Kahless took his team to deal with a second generator that was close to the first one so me and my team headed in alone. At the first generator we were met with a Herald Harbinger, we quickly dispatched of them before stabilising the first lot of molecules and downloading some information from a nearby console for review before meeting back up with Kahless and his team.
We met up with his team and went over the information we had both retrieved, the Iconians had been behind the Vaadwaur conflict by giving them technology and stronger weapons as we had suspected.
We also learned that one of the Iconians, T'Ket, was in the base, this didn't change the parameters however as we proceeded to the last of the generators. Using a remote viewer we were able to confirm that T'Ket was still in the base, Kahless saw this as an opportunity to fight and hopefully defeat them. Despite myself and Ramir's protests to his plan of action he went ahead regardless while we proceeded to the last generator.

We arrived at the generator as Kahless faced T'Ket, using the generator against T'Ket we were able to give Kahless a chance but T'Ket turned the tables on him, killing him easily. We had no choice but to escape the base as quickly as we could.
On returning to our ships we came under attack by Herald forces, we couldn't risk the intel we had gotten not getting to the Alliance so we had to find a transmission spot while fending off against the attacking forces.
We were thankfully successful and after a tough fight we were able to leave the system to relative safety.

Kahless may be lost but we survived to fight another day, his death will have counted for something with the intel we were able to retrieve.
The war, however, continues.

Log Ends.

Mission 77: Iconian War Arc 5 – Time In A Bottle

The Alliance has been trying to locate the Krenim, a species native to the Delta Quadrant with a skill for temporal technology, since the start of the war in order to see if they can help with finding a way to help fight against the Iconians with no luck. However a Ferengi was claiming to have Krenim artefacts, I was sent meet with this Ferengi to negotiate terms of acquiring the artefacts.
We were sent to the station at Drozona to meet the Ferengi in question.
On heading down to the station I speak with Qwen's, the Ferengi we were sent to meet, secretary and I was able to get her to let us see him by offering her transport away from the station as she wasn't happy with her job and wanted off the station.
As she went to the ship I went to meet with Qwen who was in talks with another Ferengi male called Oglo who wasn't happy at our arrival, he sent his guards to deal with us and we quickly dispatched of them. Oglo attempted to resume with the deal only to be interrupted by the arrival of another Ferengi male, Captain Nog, son of the Grand Nagus Rom as well as being a Starfleet officer. The first Ferengi in Starfleet as I recall.

The captain scared Oglo off with a threat to have the Ferengi Commerce Authority as well as the Grand Nagus take a look into his poor business practices, Qwen was ordered to stay behind for questioning. I questioned him and he expained that the relic was made in the 22nd century by the Krenim before the Krenim's former empire collapsed due to conflicts over the centuries and the recent Vaadwaur conflict which sent them into hiding, presumed extinct.
Qwen also explained that he got the relic from a Talaxian in the Kyana system in the Delta Quadrant where there used to be a Krenim colony.

Once the questioning was complete Qwen gave us the device for free, likely because he was terrified of Captain Nog, and left after explaining about unusual energy readings coming from the device.
After Qwen left I spoke with Captain Nog who asked if I could help him access the relic which I was happy to do, once we had access we were able to determine that the unusual energy readings were chronitons. Nog beamed the relic to his ship, the USS Chimera, and we proceeded to the Kyana system where we met up with the Chimera once they arrived.

Upon arrival in the system we began our investigate of some nearby wreckage only to come under attack by a Vaadwaur patrol, once they were out of the way we proceeded farther within while managing to avoid detection by Herald forces who were looking for any Vaadwaur patrols in the aera. We approached a planet that was giving off chroniton reading and beamed down to farther our investigation after coming under attack by Herald forces that we were unable to avoid.

On the surface we looked for any anomalies in the readings as the chroniton readings unusually natural which was odd without some kind of temporal manipulation creating them. It didn't take us long to come across Herald forces during our investigation however, while Nog attempted to scan another version of the relic he found me and my team did our best to defend him only for Nog to disappear.
We had no choice but to seek a more defensible position only to find ourselves somewhere else, a Krenim colony existing outside of normal space time, Nog greeted us and explained that this was a lost Krenim colony that had used their temporal technology to not only hide the colony but another Krenim world lost by as well.

After helping around the colony with some repairs we were able to listen in to a conversation between the remaining Iconians who arrived on the planet to get a report from their forces who had reported our disappearance.
The Iconians were determined to find and kill the Krenim but weren't having any luck.

After they left we informed the colony leader that we would take to Alliance Command about lending them a hand in exchange for their help in finding a way to fight back against the Iconians, they accepted the offer. They were more than willing to use their technology, based on the theories by someone called Annorax, to help us in our conflict.
Maybe we'll have a chance of turning the tide of war against the Iconians now, hopefully.

Log Ends.

It looks like I may have to reduce the USS Grampian missions to once a week, so I've decided to do them every Wednesday. I was admitted into hospital early yesterday morning, UK time, after the entire left side of my body went numb and became quite painful. It wasn't a stroke, thankfully, but it does seem to be stress related and I am in a lot of a stress which is now becoming a physical indicator with my left hand going arm and my lower left arm hurting.
So as I work on finding ways to reduce the stress I'll be reducing the USS Grampian missions to every Wednesday.

I'll do this Wednesday's mission tomorrow once I've had some rest, the next mission sees the USS Grampian join an Allied task force operation focused on hitting back against the Iconians, Maira and her team will come face to face with an Iconian in battle.
