UFSA MOODLE BADGE SYSTEM

UFS Academy is pleased to introduce to you the “Badge” system. We have created over 50 “Badges” to begin with and there will be more added over time. So, what are badges I hear you all cry?

A specific badge will be awarded for completing a certain set of classes. The Moodle system takes care of this automatically and the more classes you take and pass, the more badges you earn. Each badge earned will be displayed on your Moodle Profile page.

As an example, if you complete ALL the classes in the Medical College, then you will be awarded the badge “The Bricklayer”

Please be aware that the Moodle system will only see that you have completed a class if the following has been done:

• You have viewed the Class Manual

• You have taken the exam and achieved a score of 80 or over

• You have viewed the certificate

• You have marked the class as complete (Self Completion)

The badges will be switched live in stages over the coming days. Some of you will have already met the criteria for some badges, and if so, they will be issued as soon as the badge goes live. In fact, some of you will already have been issued some due to the testing process.

Be aware that these will NOT be displayed on your Service Jacket and will display on your Moodle Profile only. We hope that this will add a little extra fun and purpose to your educational experience at the Academy.

I mean I didn't hit the self completion box everytime nor I viewed the certificate there are just too much certification,

If you don't complete the class properly, then it isn't counted.

You will need to go into each class, view the certificate, and mark it complete.

Nothing I can do to change that Im afraid

This program is completely unrelated to mechanisms concerning Promotions and Awards.

Moodle has the badge system as a part of it. All we have done is created sone badges and enabled that system. Its just for fun, nothing more, nothing less.

If you have a specific issue regarding a promotion, I suggest you take that up through your chain of comnand
