Hello everyone and welcome to a huge change for UFS Awards:
We had A LOT of awards that, quite frankly, were not being handed out partially because they were duplicated over and over again and partially because they were confusing as heck. As of today, UFS has moved to a new, and much simpler, system. Not only is it easier, but every award past Citation and Commendation will now give you a ribbon on your Service Jacket as well.
How does it work?
There are monthly awards per Branch, Bronze, Silver, and Gold.
Bronze is for Ship/Station activities (ie. Things occurring on USS Atlas, or SS Astraois only and that benefits them primarily).
Silver is for Sector activities (ie. Things that occur that on Second Life, or 3RG, or in a RL Chapter that benefits them primarily).
Gold is for Fleetwide activities (ie. Things that are for the betterment of all UFS).
So…here are some examples:
Doctor Stephanie is an amazing roleplayer on USS Nightingale and it helps everyone on that ship to roleplay better. She might be nominated for that reason for the Joseph M’Benga Award (Bronze).
Or perhaps Major Tom works hard to build set items for SS Ground Control, you might put him forward to win the Akiko Karuna Award (Bronze) as it benefits the station.
Maybe in 3RG LT Ricky has done a great job in making new EVA suits that work in that environment for everyone and they have gone into release there and they are a Science Officer, they can be put up for the Paul Stamets Award (Silver) as it benefits all of 3RG.
Or VADMR Ruby created an amazing fleetwide roleplay that got everyone in every Sector involved somehow with SL, 3RG, and even RL chapters taking part. This Command level officer might be put up for the Kathryn Janeway Award (Gold).
Every branch has awards in Gold, Silver and Bronze. They replace the Order Awards as well as several other awards. Every award is multi-purpose however you MUST distinguish them from a citation or commendation by fully explaining why this deserves a ribboned award rather than a citation or commendation.
Citations and Commendations still exist and their function and explanation has been updated and clarified.
You can find everything here: https://lcars.ufstarfleet.org/index.php ... UFS_Awards
Due to the change, a new P&A form has been created. You can find it here: https://tinyurl.com/UFSPandAForm
Please remove your old P&A link, it may work, but it won’t do anything anymore.
I hope everyone enjoys this new, simpler system.
Go forth and award!

Major Tom and Bravo Company putting in work for FOB Ground Control. He’s good people.
