Re: CinC Update
It's now ten days since the original post welcoming comments and questions, and yet there has still not been one single response directly from the CiC regarding any of the points raised. In light of the nature of the original post and subsequent criticisms I find this quite unbelievable.

Re: Passing the Torch
Rich, cracking job sir! Thanks for all your help and support to me in Curriculum Development. Also kudos to you for accepting when you can't offer what the job requires and taking the decision to step down. Excellent leadership, big shoes and all that. Rowena, if I can be of help in any way please s...

Re: CinC Update
Bodan, with the most immense respect, a term of office wouldn't address the cascading issues facing this group. ........ Legitimacy is necessary. Legitmacy is the belief that the people making and enforcing the rules *should* be - that there's a basic fairness and competence, and that the people wh...

I also appreciate your honesty, however what you have described are not the attributes of a leader. A leader should be visible, talk the talk and walk the walk. In my opinion this group desperately needs a vision and proper leadership. It doesn't have either. Ive said this before, but maybe its tim...

Re: CinC Update
Ok, firstly my post is not a personal attack on Miles. I don't know him that well, but Im sure he's a great guy and his length of service and love for UFS is not in question. In fact, when Mike stepped down and Miles assumed command (if there was an application and 'challenging' interview process in...

Re: Passing of a Legend - The Boss
I don't have a military background but I am a staunch royalist, so this cuts to the bone. An everpresent in my life...she was my Queen, always there. The United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and the world have lost a massive personality, an incredible force for good, and probably the best diplomat we ha...

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. This!Kassiequandrii Resident wrote: ↑220829.0933There's no right or wrong in this, but this is why organizations put hard work into mission statements: it helps ensure there's a means/ends fit between what they want and what they do.

Re: What would you like to see?
Solutions to what though Kermie?
We are in the midst of an open discussion with varying viewpoints.
Any problem has to be clearly defined, specific and substantiated before we can try and improve it. Otherwise we are all just peeing in the wind.

Re: What would you like to see?
What would I like to see?.. I'd like to see an overreaching goal / vision I'd like to see a substantiated plan as to how we are going to meet that goal I'd like to see any and all activity that doesn't take us towards that goal stopped I'd like to see all those in JC positions on a fixed term, after...

Re: Ethics and You: Case Studies with the New P&A Guidelines
To be honest, I don't even see the problem with alts recommending/being recommended for P&A. If my understanding of the process is correct, then it should be self-policing as any recommendation, completely regardless of who makes it, CO, friend, wife, or alt, has to meet a set of criteria. If it...

Re: Ethics and You: Case Studies with the New P&A Guidelines
I understand the intentions behind this change of policy, but find it difficult to understand the necessity. As Jorden has already said, the responsibility for ensuring unbiased and ethical decisions are made concerning promotions and awards lies with the P&A comittee and not the nominator. Prov...
